Why Do People Choose Amex Rose Gold?
People with a particular sense of style have been drawn to rose gold ever since Carl Fabergé first used it in his famous jeweled Eggs more than a hundred years ago. The copper-infused, pink-hued alloy has come in and out of style ever since given what fans consider its vintage appeal and comforting aura.
But it’s not just the color of the Rose Gold Card that creates its allure, nor just its sleek form factor or the satisfying “clink” when tapped on a counter. The Gold Card’s benefits stand out just as much as its exterior. And those benefits are the same no matter which Card design you go for.

How to Use Uber Cash
What Is Uber Cash?
Uber Cash is a payment option that can be used to pay for Uber Eats and rides in the U.S.
How Does Uber Cash work?
If you add the Gold Card to your Uber account, $10 in Uber Cash will be deposited into your Uber account every month. Otherwise, you can purchase Uber Cash within the Uber app or redeem Uber Cash through gift cards. You can check your Uber Cash balance by choosing Wallet from the menu in the Uber app.
How to Use Uber Cash
Using Uber Cash is straightforward:
- Log into your Uber app and create an order, whether that’s ordering a ride or using Uber Eats.
- On the checkout screen, select Uber Cash as your payment method. Effective 11/8/2024, an Amex Card must be selected as the payment method for your Uber or Uber Eats transaction to redeem the Amex Uber Cash benefit.
- Review and place your order.
If you don’t have enough Uber Cash to cover the cost of your purchase, you can cover the remainder with your default payment method.
And lastly, the Gold Card offers various extra benefits, including:
- More Ways to Pay. The Gold Card comes with flexible payment options that provides Card Members with more control. Pay Over Time lets you carry a balance with interest up to your Pay Over Time Limit, while Plan It® lets you select large purchases to split into equal monthly installments with a fixed fee. You can choose either option or pay in full each month.
- Send & Split®: After enrolling in the feature, Amex Card Members can link their Venmo and/or PayPal accounts and then send money, split purchases, and track it all – right in the Amex App.
- Amex Offers. Get rewarded at the places you love to eat, shop, travel, and more. Add Amex Offers to your eligible Card right from the Amex App and earn rewards on qualifying purchases.2
Choose the Card Design For You
If the subtle-yet-stylish metallic pink hue of Rose Gold isn’t your color, remember: choose the Gold design and you’ll get all the same benefits with a classic Amex look. It’s only the Cards’ exteriors that differ, so you can pick the one that suits your style.
And don’t forget, the Gold Card now comes in a Limited Edition White Gold design, available while supplies last.
The Takeaway
If you’ve been looking for a rosier way to stand out, you’re in luck. The Gold Card rewards you for enjoying your everyday life, from dining and grocery shopping to riding in style with Uber. And no matter which Card design you select, the Gold Card comes with all the same great benefits.
