    • 1. What is Membership Rewards?


      Membership Rewards is a customer loyalty programme from American Express which rewards Card Members who regularly use their American Express® Cards. The more you spend, the more Membership Rewards points you accrue. These points can be redeemed for a wide variety of travel rewards, shopping rewards and entertainment rewards. Points can also be transferred to other loyalty programmes such as Airline Rewards Frequent Flyer and Hotel Rewards Frequent Guest programmes dependent on which reward option you're enrolled in.

    • 2. How do I enrol?


      If you're not an American Express Card Member, click here to find a Card that's best suited for you. If you're an existing Card Member, start enjoying the benefits of Membership Rewards today. To enrol, call the Customer Service hotline at the back of your Card (fees may apply).

    • 3. How do I earn points?


      American Express® Platinum Reserve Credit Card and American Express® Platinum Credit Card issued in Singapore by American Express International Inc. will earn 2 Membership Rewards points and 8 additional Membership Rewards points for every full S$1.60 spent at our Platinum 10Xcelerator

    • The Platinum Card® issued in Singapore by American Express International Inc. will earn up to 20 Membership Rewards points on the first S$16,000 eligible spend at our Platinum 10Xcelerator Partners in Singapore from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024. All spend in excess of S$16,000, earn 2 Membership Rewards points and receive 8 additional Membership Rewards points for every full S$1.60 spent.

    • 4. How do I redeem my points?


      Redeeming your points for rewards online is easy.

      To redeem:

      1. After you have selected a reward, click on the "Redeem Now" button on the reward detail page.
      2. You will be prompted to login to your Card Account by entering your User ID and Password.
      3. You'll be told how many points you have available and the name of the reward.
      4. The redemption certificate will be sent to your billing address by default. If you’d like us to send the voucher to an alternate Singapore delivery address, please fill in the delivery address in the fields provided. Note: Alternate delivery address is applicable to Singapore addresses only.
      5. Tick the box to confirm that you have read the Terms and Conditions. Then click "Continue".
      6. Click "Submit" to confirm that the delivery details and reward item are correct.
      7. Enter your Card Account number and the 4-digit security number printed on the front of the Card. Click "Continue" to complete your request.
      8. You will be presented with a "Thank You" page with points balance and a confirmation number. Quote this confirmation number when you have any enquiries about your redemption.
      9. Please allow 14 days for the delivery of your certificate.
      10. If you have redeemed an e-Voucher, your e-code will be reflected as the Confirmation Order ID/Certificate number on the "Thank You" page.

    • 5. How do I transfer my points?


      1. Login to your Card Account by entering your User ID and Password.
      2. Select “Travel with points” in the Membership Rewards® catalogue and click on "Transfer my points".
      3. You must have your partner account linked to your Traveller Option account before you can effect a transaction online. To do so, please follow the steps below:

      - Select your partner from the ‘Available Partners’ drop-down list and click on “Next”.
      - Select “Register my partner details” from the “Service required” drop-down list, and then click on “Next” to proceed with your request.
      - Fill in your Partner account number and your personal details followed by “Confirm”.
      - Please allow 7 workings days for your registration request to be processed.

      4. Once you’ve registered your Frequent Traveller details with us, simply select your Transfer Partner from “My Registered Transfer Partners” drop-down list and click on “Next”.
      5. Fill in the number of rewards points to be transferred. Do take note of the minimum Points transfers and incremental transfer amount required for the request to be successful.
      6. Tick at the box to confirm that you have read the Terms and Conditions, then click "Confirm".
      7. Review and confirm that the reward details and Points transferred are correct before clicking on "Confirm" to complete the transaction.
      8. You will then be presented a "Confirmation" page with the reference number and your Points balance. Quote this reference number when you have any enquiries about your redemption.
      9. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your points to appear on your Frequent Flyer or Frequent Guest programme account.

      American Express Rewards Card Members will be charged a transfer fee of S$20.19 (GST inclusive) per conversion of points to Airline Rewards Frequent Flyer and/or Hotel Rewards Frequent Guest Programmes.

    • 6. What can I redeem my points for?


      Your points will give you access to an exciting range of rewards1. Enjoy shopping rewards from luxurious fashion and beauty to tantalizing wine and dine offers. Discover greater travel rewards with access to many of the world’s leading Airline Rewards Frequent Flyer and Hotel Rewards Frequent Guest programmes. There are also numerous financial rewards such as using your points for a credit on your Card2 or using points towards your annual Card fee. Whatever your taste, the perfect reward awaits you.

      1. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards programme.

      2. Points may be redeemed by the Card Member for a credit on the Primary Card Account. American Express may decline a Points for Credit request if the Card Account or Card Member’s other Accounts with American Express are not in good standing. The redemption of Points for Credit will be administered solely by American Express within 72 hours and cannot be reversed.

    • 7. How do I check my points balance?


      If you're already enrolled in Online Services, simply login to see your points balance on the Summary of Accounts page. For detailed points transactions, go to My Points page. If you are not yet enrolled in Online Services, but would like to view your up-to-date points balance and manage your Account online, click here to enrol.

    • 8. Do Membership Rewards points expire?


      No, unlike other card rewards programmes where your points expire in as little as one year, your Membership Rewards points do not expire#. So, you can save your points for higher value rewards including electronic gadgets and travel.

      # Points will be awarded as long as your Card Account remains valid and enrolled in the Membership Rewards Programme. Card Account would also need to be in good standing and cannot be cancelled for any reason. This applies to American Express Cards issued in Singapore by American Express International Inc,. (excluding American Express Corporate Cards, Gold Credit Card on cashback option, American Express Singapore Airlines Credit Cards and American Express Cards issued by DBS Bank Limited, United Overseas Bank Limited, Citibank Singapore Limited and EZ-Link Pte Ltd). If you cancel your enrolment from the Membership Rewards Programme, you must redeem any points within 30 days of cancellation; otherwise, the points will be forfeited. If your Card Account is cancelled or terminated, any points in your Membership Rewards account will be forfeited on the date of Account termination.

    • 9. Why have my points been forfeited?


      Your points have been forfeited because we did not receive the required minimum payment for your Credit Card(s) or full payment for your Charge Card(s) for that billing period by the due date set out in your Card Account statement. Your points may also be forfeited because your Card Account and/or your enrolment in the Membership Rewards Programme may be cancelled or if you failed to adhere to the terms and conditions governing the Card Account or the Programme.

    • 10. How do I reinstate my forfeited points?


      You may not reinstate your forfeited points if your Card Account has been suspended or cancelled. If your Card Account has not been suspended or cancelled, you are able to reinstate your forfeited points after you have settled your missed payments in full and only within 90 days from the date on which the points were deducted. You can reinstate your points online now by clicking here or by calling the Customer Service hotline indicated at the back of your Card (fees apply).
