    • 1. How do I redeem my points?


      Redeeming your points for rewards online is easy.

      To redeem:

      1. After you have selected a reward, click on the "Redeem Now" button on the reward detail page.
      2. You will be prompted to login to your Card Account by entering your User ID and Password.
      3. You'll be told how many points you have available and the name of the reward.
      4. The redemption certificate will be sent to your billing address by default. If you’d like us to send the voucher to an alternate Singapore delivery address, please fill in the delivery address in the fields provided. Note: Alternate delivery address is applicable to Singapore addresses only.
      5. Tick the box to confirm that you have read the Terms and Conditions. Then click "Continue".
      6. Click "Submit" to confirm that the delivery details and reward item are correct.
      7. Enter your Card Account number and the 4-digit security number printed on the front of the Card. Click "Continue" to complete your request.
      8. You will be presented with a "Thank You" page with points balance and a confirmation number. Quote this confirmation number when you have any enquiries about your redemption.
      9. Please allow 14 days for the delivery of your certificate.
      10. If you have redeemed an e-Voucher, your e-code will be reflected as the Confirmation Order ID/Certificate number on the "Thank You" page.

      Important Notice: A nominal fee of 800 Membership Rewards points will be charged per call for any redemption or transfer via our Customer Service hotline. Alternatively, you may redeem your rewards online at no additional charge. Visit our Membership Rewards catalogue for more details.

    • 2. How do I transfer my points?


      Transferring your points online is easy.

      To transfer:

      1. Login to your Card Account by entering your User ID and Password.
      2. Select “Travel with points” in the Membership Rewards® catalogue and click on "Transfer my points".
      3. You must have your partner account linked to your Traveller Option account before you can effect a transaction online. To do so, please follow the steps below:

      - Select your partner from the ‘Available Partners’ drop-down list and click on “Next”.
      - Select “Register my partner details” from the “Service required” drop-down list, and then click on “Next” to proceed with your request.
      - Fill in your Partner account number and your personal details followed by “Confirm”.
      - Please allow 7 workings days for your registration request to be processed.

      4. Once you’ve registered your Frequent Traveller details with us, simply select your Transfer Partner from “My Registered Transfer Partners” drop-down list and click on “Next”.
      5. Fill in the number of rewards points to be transferred. Do take note of the minimum Points transfers and incremental transfer amount required for the request to be successful.
      6. Tick at the box to confirm that you have read the Terms and Conditions, then click "Confirm".
      7. Review and confirm that the reward details and Points transferred are correct before clicking on "Confirm" to complete the transaction.
      8. You will then be presented a "Confirmation" page with the reference number and your Points balance. Quote this reference number when you have any enquiries about your redemption.
      9. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your points to appear on your Frequent Flyer or Frequent Guest programme account.

    • 3. Do Membership Rewards points expire?


      No, unlike other card rewards programmes where your points expire in as little as one year, your Membership Rewards points do not expire#. So, you can save your points for higher value rewards including electronic gadgets and travel.

      # Points will be awarded as long as your Card Account remains valid and enrolled in the Membership Rewards Programme. Card Account would also need to be in good standing and cannot be cancelled for any reason. This applies to American Express Cards issued in Singapore by American Express International Inc. (excluding American Express Corporate Cards, Gold Credit Card on cashback option, American Express Singapore Airlines Credit Cards and American Express Cards issued by DBS Bank Limited, United Overseas Bank Limited, Citibank Singapore Limited and EZ-Link Pte Ltd). If you cancel your enrolment from the Membership Rewards Programme, you must redeem any points within 30 days of cancellation; otherwise, the points will be forfeited. If your Card Account is cancelled or terminated, any points in your Membership Rewards account will be forfeited on the date of Account termination.

    • 4. Can I link my Membership Rewards account to a partner Frequent Traveller and/or Frequent Guest programme?


      When you are enrolled in the Membership Rewards Frequent Traveller Option and belong to a participating Frequent Flyer or Frequent Guest Partner(s), you can go to the Transfer my points page or call the Membership Rewards Hotline at 1800 299 1997 to link your Partner account(s) to your Membership Rewards account. American Express Rewards Card Members will be charged a transfer fee of S$20.38 (GST inclusive) per conversion of points to Frequent Flyer and/or Frequent Guest programmes.

    • 5. Once I have redeemed my Membership Rewards points for a reward, can I cancel the redemption and request for a refund of the points?


      No. Once the points have been exchanged for a reward, the points cannot be refunded into your Membership Rewards account.

    • 6. How will I be able to check my redemption history?


      You can go to "My Redemptions" under "Your Points Account" tab to view your Membership Rewards redemption history for the past 12 months.

    • 7. How long does it take to receive a Membership Rewards voucher?


      After redemption is made online, the Membership Rewards voucher will be mailed to you within 14 working days.

    • 8. About eVouchers


      When and how do I redeem an eVoucher?


      Cardmembers can redeem eVouchers from the online Membership Rewards Catalogue. Select the eVoucher you would like to order and place the order by adding your option to cart and check out.


      Can American Express Customer Service order an eVoucher on my behalf?


      No. To order an eVoucher, Cardmembers must do so via the Membership Rewards Catalogue and need to have a registered email address to receive the unique eVoucher code for redemption.


      How long will it take to receive my eVoucher?


      After you have ordered your eVoucher, it will take up to 24 hours for the eVoucher to be sent to your email by our eVoucher partner – Blackhawk Network. It will be sent by americanexpressdigitalgiftcards@blackhawknetwork.com. Please check your Spam and Junk mail if you have not received it within 24 hours before contacting American Express.


      Why is my eVoucher coming from an email address without the American Express domain?


      Your eVoucher is issued by Blackhawk Network, our appointed eVoucher partner. When your eVoucher is ready, it will be sent by Blackhawk Network from the email address americanexpressdigitalgiftcards@blackhawknetwork.com.


      I ordered an eVoucher and it has not arrived in my email.


      Your unique eVoucher code will be sent to your registered email address with American Express within 24 hours of ordering. If you did not receive it within 24 hours, please check your Spam and Junk mail before contacting American Express. Your eVoucher will be sent from americanexpressdigitalgiftcards@blackhawknetwork.com and may have accidentally been marked as Spam or Junk mail. If this eVoucher is not deliverable due to an invalid email address, the order will not be processed, and your points will be returned to your Account in approximately 5 business days from when the order was placed. Please ensure the email address on your Card Account is correct before placing the eVoucher order again.


      How can I send an eVoucher to an alternative email address?


      Your eVoucher will be sent to the registered email address on your Card Account for security purposes. If you wish to send an eVoucher to someone else, you can forward the eVoucher email you receive from americanexpressdigitalgiftcards@blackhawknetwork.com to a new email address. Please note that American Express is not responsible if you forward your eVoucher to another email address and the eVoucher is used by someone without your permission.


      What happens if I lose the email with my eVoucher or send it to the wrong email address?


      Unfortunately, we are unable to retrieve your eVoucher if it is lost or sent to the wrong email address. Please ensure your email address on your Account is up to date. Once you receive your eVoucher, do save it or print it to always have a back up.
