Earning Credit on MyAmexShop
Earning ‘credit back’ means that you will receive a percentage or amount of credit back for eligible purchases made using your linked American Express Card, after navigating through the “Go to Store” link on the MyAmexShop offer page. The credit back amount may vary for each store so please visit the store’s offer page to view the credit back amount.
You can earn credit back on your American Express Card by:
- Creating your MyAmexShop Account and linking your American Express Card
- Clicking on the links provided for each store’s offer on MyAmexShop and making purchases through this link. - Paying for purchases using your linked American Express Card. Only use the American Express Card linked with your MyAmexShop account to make a purchase.
Make sure that you check that all ad-blockers are disabled while using the MyAmexShop service.
Once you have made an eligible purchase, the credit will be issued back to your linked American Express Card within 7 days but may take longer.
Credit will be reversed on purchases that are cancelled, returned or partially returned.
You must pay for purchases using your linked American Express Card directly with the store at the store’s checkout – not through a third-party payment provider like PayPal. However, if the merchant only offers a third party payment provider (i.e. PayPal) you can use your linked American Express Card with that third party payment provider to qualify.
The amount of credit you are able to earn varies per offer and store and is displayed on each offer page. For example, if a store is offering 10% credit back on purchases, and you make a purchase for $100, you will receive a $10 credit on your linked American Express Card.
Shipping costs, GST, other taxes and/or fees are not eligible for credit back.
The credit is issued in AUD. The amount of credit back may vary depending on the exchange rate for purchases made in other currencies.
Offer terms vary and there may be limits on the amount of credit you can earn. Some stores may impose a limit on the number of purchases you can earn credit from when purchasing through MyAmexShop offer links. Please read the offer terms carefully before making a purchase.
