I had a Citi Hilton Honors Card but I never received a Hilton Honors American Express Card. What should I do?

Please contact American Express Customer Care and we’ll be happy to discuss options for your accounts. If you already have a Hilton Honors American Express Card, it was updated with new features and benefits effective January 18, 2018.
My Hilton Honors American Express Card is not working. What should I do?

No. As long as your Citi Hilton Honors Card account was open and eligible, it automatically transferred to American Express on January 30, 2018. If you cancelled your Citi Hilton Honors Card before January 30, 2018, your account did not transfer to American Express. Please note that if you cancelled your Citi Hilton Honors Card between November 17, 2017 and January 30, 2018, you may have received a Hilton Honors American Express Card in the mail in January 2018 but the Card will never be activated. Please go ahead and destroy the Card if you received it.

Did my Card account number change? Do I need to update my Card information with merchants?
Yes. The account numbers for you and your authorized users, if any, have changed. You will need to provide your updated account information to all merchants with whom you have recurring automatic payments (such as your utility provider, mobile phone provider or fitness center), card information stored on file (such as HiltonHonors.com, Amazon.com and Uber), digital wallets (such as Apple Pay and Samsung Pay) and any bill payment services you may use to pay your credit card bill. Your Hilton Honors account number has not changed.

Yes. You can create and manage an online account at americanexpress.com. If you already have an online account with americanexpress.com, you are able to link your Hilton Honors American Express Card to your existing user profile.
What happened to the authorized users on my Citi Hilton Honors Card account?
Your authorized users, if any, remain on your account. You should have received replacement Cards for your authorized users when you received your new Card in January. All Cards were mailed to the basic/primary account holder’s address that was on file with Citi as of mid-November 2017.
What is different for my authorized users now that my Citi Hilton Honors Card account has transferred to American Express?
Your authorized users have a different account number than the basic/primary account holder. Their transactions will appear in a separate section of your billing statement. If you would like to give any of your authorized users full access to manage your account, we invite you to set them up as an Account Manager on americanexpress.com/accountmanager or by calling the number on the back of your American Express Card. The Account Manager can handle tasks such as viewing statements, making payments, and disputing charges. For more information about Account Managers, visit americanexpress.com/accountmanager.
Is my new Hilton Honors American Express Card a contactless chip Card?
Yes. Contactless technology allows you to make quick and easy payments with a simple tap. To pay using your contactless feature, look for the contactless symbol on the reader at participating merchants. Then tap your Card on the reader. It’s as simple as that. If the merchant does not accept contactless payments, you can still use your Card the same way you do today.
