2023 Terms For the American Express Program at the US Open
The below sections outline the Terms of Use regarding the Card Member benefits and offer terms for the 2023 American Express Program at the US Open Tennis Championships. Please expand each drop down to read the full terms.
American Express Radio:
All eligible Cards (any Card bearing American Express Logo, excluding American Express Prepaid Cards) can tap contactless Card, mobile wallet or swipe Card at any American Express Radio Booth location on-site to access. Limit one per Card per day, while supplies last. Radios must be returned by the close of the grounds on the applicable day.
Bag Check:
American Express Card Members can receive $5 off one (1) checked bag or luggage item at East Gate Bag Check and South Gate Bag Check. Limit one (1) discount per Card. Card Member must pay using an American Express Card. American Express Prepaid Cards are not eligible. The bag check is issued subject to the following conditions and in accepting, the holder thereof agrees to each and all such conditions: 1) the property for which it was issued may be delivered to any person presenting this check and will not be delivered except upon presentation and surrender of this check; 2) the owner or owners of the property checked hereunder assumes all risk of damage by fire, water, theft or from other causes; 3) liability for loss, damage, or theft of the property shall be limited to the amount set by law unless a separate agreement between the bailor and bailee has established a different amount. 4) any property left an unreasonable length of time will be disposed of in accordance with state law; and 5) American Express is not responsible for the administration or fulfillment of this benefit. Benefit may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice.
American Express Shop at South Plaza:
All eligible Cards (any Card bearing American Express Logo, excluding American Express Prepaid Cards) can tap contactless Card, mobile wallet or insert Card to enter and shop. Card will be automatically billed for any items from the shop with which the Card Member selects and leaves the shop.
American Express Card Member Lounge Access:
Card Member may obtain access to the American Express Card Member Lounge with up to two (2) accompanied guests by showing any valid American Express Card, excluding American Express Prepaid Cards. Access provided on a first come, first served basis, subject to capacity. Must be 21+ to drink alcoholic beverages. Please drink responsibly.
The Centurion® Lounge in Louis Armstrong Stadium
Reservation Requirements:
Reservations for The Centurion Lounge at US Open (previously “The Centurion Suite”) are available exclusively to American Express Platinum Card® and Centurion® Members on a first-come, first-served basis. Access is by reservation only, exclusively through Resy. Reservations cannot be made through phone, email, chat, or other channels. Limit one reservation per Card Member per day. Reservations can be made beginning at 1pm ET on August 7, 2023 for Centurion Members and beginning at 1pm ET on August 10, 2023 for Platinum Card Members, while supplies last. Reservations are limited and subject to availability at the sole discretion of American Express. Platinum Card and Centurion Members may also request to be added to the waitlist by visiting The Centurion Lounge at US Open in person upon opening. All reservations are final. American Express has sole discretion regarding seat changes.
Guest Policy:
Platinum Card Members may make reservations for a table of up to two (2) persons, and Centurion Members may make reservations for a table of up to four (4) persons, subject to availability.
Access Policy:
To access The Centurion Lounge at US Open, Platinum Card and Centurion Members with a confirmed reservation must present the lounge agent with their Platinum or Centurion Card. Name on Card must match name on the reservation. Card Members and any accompanying guest(s) must arrive at the lounge within 10 minutes of their reservation start time. Each reservation provides up to 1 hour access to the lounge. A complete party is required in order to be seated.
How to Make a Reservation on Resy:
To make a reservation, you must log in to your Resy account or if you do not have a Resy account, sign up for a new Resy account and add your Platinum or Centurion Card as a card on file in your account. Once you have logged in or completed a new Resy account sign up, return to The Centurion Lounge at US Open venue page on Resy to complete your reservation.
Must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. Please drink responsibly. By attending the event, you are voluntarily assuming any and all risks related to your attendance and you will not hold American Express, its partners, representatives, or agents, liable for any risks, injuries, or illness in connection with your attendance at the event. American Express also reserves the right to remove any person from any event for inappropriate behavior including, but not limited to, conduct that is disruptive, abusive, or violent.

American Express does not guarantee every Card Member will be able to redeem every benefit. Benefits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, or substituted.
Spend $100 or more, get $10 back
Get a one-time $10 (USD) statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend $100 (USD) or more in one or more purchases at participating on-site merchants at the US Open between August 28 and September 10, 2023 (or, if final day of tournament play is extended, September 11, 2023.)
Enrollment
Enrollment available until September 10, 2023 (or, if final day of tournament play is extended, September 11, 2023) via AmericanExpress.com or when you visit any American Express location on-site (i.e., an American Express Radio Distribution booth, American Express Card Member Lounge, Centurion® Lounge (exclusive to Platinum Card® and Centurion® Members), or the American Express ® Shop in South Plaza) during the 2023 US Open. An Amex® Brand Ambassador will guide you through this process and confirm whether your Card is eligible and has been successfully enrolled in the offer.
Eligible Cards
This offer is valid for American Express Cards issued in the following markets: U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The following American Express Cards are not eligible for the offer: Prepaid Cards (excluding Serve and Bluebird Cards), Corporate Cards, International Cards including David Jones Storecard, Rakuten Card, Rakuten Premium Card, Rakuten Black Card unless otherwise listed as an Eligible Card above. Additional Cards on an eligible Card account are also eligible to enroll in this offer subject to the Card eligibility restrictions above, as well as the following limitations: Each enrolled Additional Card must make qualifying purchases totaling $100 or more at participating on-site merchants with their enrolled Card to earn $10 back. Limit 1 statement credit per enrolled Card. Qualifying spend may be made in single or multiple purchases on each enrolled Card. Each eligible Card on the account must be enrolled separately in order for this offer to apply.
Eligible Merchants
Participating merchants include on-site merchants that accept American Express Cards at the US Open, excluding US Open Event Cards, purchase of USTA memberships, parking vendors, merchants that accept charitable donations, and at premium suites and banquets.
Other Terms
Statement credit will be applied within 90 days after offer end date. If a Card Member meets the spend threshold and has not received a statement credit within 90 days from September 10, 2023 (or, if final day of tournament play is extended, September 11, 2023), Card Member should call the customer service number on the back of their Card. Statement credit will be rewarded in USD or in the Card Member’s local currency, as applicable; statement credits rewarded in local currency may fluctuate depending on the exchange rate, from USD, at the time of reward. Qualifying purchase means a participating on-site merchant purchase made during the offer period with your enrolled American Express Card that is in an amount of at least $100 USD as posted to your account following conversion to your local currency, if applicable, in accordance with your Cardmember Agreement. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is voided/returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, you may not receive the statement credit if the merchant uses an ineligible mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By enrolling an eligible Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer and other Card Member benefits, and that the USTA (operator of the US Open) may send you notifications through the app. American Express reserves the right to modify or revoke this offer at any time.
