As part of our global The Artist Series, we’re proud to announce beautiful new custom signage from East London-based artist, Erin Aniker.
Erin Aniker is one of a collective of artists and illustrators enlisted around the world by American Express to design custom signage as part of The Artist Series. Each was tasked with creating artwork inspired by the phrase 'Always Welcome: Proudly Backing Our Community Together’. The campaign forms part of American Express’ ongoing commitment to help customers feel welcome and accepted wherever they are. Erin Aniker’s design centres on the theme of communities coming together to support each other, using people of different backgrounds to create a physical support structure.

“I started my florist in Brixton Hill 13 years ago, and in that time it’s become well established within the community; I’m even lucky enough to count many of my customers as friends. Brixton has a very buzzy and vibey atmosphere, and it’s full of incredible people from different cultures and countries.
Inclusivity is very important to me, and I welcome customers from all nationalities and all walks of life into my shop. People come here for a number of reasons, some sad and some happy, and I work hard to accommodate every occasion and every feeling through the gift of flowers.
When people come into my shop, I want them to feel welcome, and that they have a friendly face who will accept them for who they are - I hope that the new Always Welcome sign from American Express helps to instantly show that we’re an inclusive environment for all people.”
