Can I pay my bill via Bank Transfer?
You can easily pay your bill via bank transfer in just a few quick steps in the American Express® App. Click “Make payment”, select “Pay With Bank Transfer”, and follow the instructions. You will be transferred to your bank account provider’s app or internet banking service to securely complete the payment, so there is no need to enter any banking details or lengthy reference numbers.
Your payment will be sent via Faster Payments, and your Amex Account balance will be updated to reflect your payment as soon as it has been received, which typically happens within a few minutes.

If you would prefer to initiate a bank transfer payment from your bank account, you can use the below details.

Your Faster Payment or BACS payment will update your balance as soon as it has been received.

Important information: Please ensure you pay only up to the amount shown on your balance. American Express cannot accept payment for more than the outstanding current total balance. Faster Payments made to Corporate Accounts or Accounts with a Flex Select balance can take 2 - 3 business days whilst BACS payments can take 3 - 5 business days to appear on your Account.
A CHAPS payment to a Personal Card will update your balance displayed as soon as it has been received.
