• This Welcome Offer is only applicable to first-time applicants of THAI American Express Platinum Credit Card issued by American Express (Thai) Co., Ltd. who meet the following criteria:
- Apply for the Card and receive approval from 16 May – 30 September 2024
- Pay the first-year annual fee of Baht 4,000 (subject to VAT)
- Meet the spend threshold of Baht 50,000 within the first 3 months of Cardmembership
• Cardmembers who have existing or cancelled any American Express Cards issued by American Express (Thai) Co., Ltd. for less than 24 months from the date of the THAI American Express Platinum Credit Card application received are not eligible for the Welcome Offer.
• The 15,000 BONUS Royal Orchid Plus miles are from:
1. 9,000 BONUS THAI American Express Platinum points (Welcome Bonus Points) equivalent to 5,000 BONUS Royal Orchid Plus miles (1.8 BONUS THAI American Express Platinum points = 1 BONUS Royal Orchid Plus mile) "Welcome BONUS points" will be credited directly into the eligible Basic Cardmember Account within 6-8 weeks from the month of meeting the spend threshold of Baht 50,000 within the first 3 months of Cardmembership.
2. The 5,000 BONUS Royal Orchid Plus miles from the first spending within the first 30 days of Cardmembership for THAI American Express Platinum Credit Cardmembers. Cardmembers will no longer be entitled to this benefit when re-applying for the Card at any time. The BONUS Royal Orchid Plus miles will be credited to the qualifying Cardmember's Royal Orchid Plus membership account within 6-8 weeks following the month of the annual fee paid and fulfilling the spending requirement. This benefit is provided by Thai Airways International and Thai Airways International may cancel or change the benefit's Terms and Conditions at any time in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. The 5,000 BONUS Royal Orchid Plus miles. The first international flight benefit is valid for all paid fares, excluding fares in booking classes T/K/S/G/V/W/L. departing from Bangkok or with a destination to Bangkok. The first flight benefit is a one-time offer for THAI American Express Platinum Credit Cardmembers and Cardmembers will no longer be entitled to this benefit when re-applying for the Card. BONUS Royal Orchid Plus miles will be credited to the qualifying Cardmember's Royal Orchid Plus membership account within 6-8 weeks following the month of fulfilling the spending requirement. This benefit is provided by Thai Airways International and Thai Airways International may cancel or change the benefit's Terms and Conditions at any time in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.
• Spend made by Supplementary Cardmember (s) will be taken into consideration in the calculation of the spend criteria.
• Should the Cardmember ceases to be a Cardmember within the first 12 months of Cardmembership for any reason whatsoever, American Express reserves the right at its sole discretion to deduct the “Welcome BONUS points” or charge the Basic Cardmember’s Account, for the amount of the “Welcome BONUS points” received under these Terms and Conditions, in proportion to the period that he/she ceases to be a Cardmember.
• To qualify for this offer, your Card Account must be in good standing and not be cancelled for any reason.
• This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers for THAI American Express Platinum Credit Card.
• “Welcome BONUS points” cannot be refunded, transferred, redeemed, or exchanged to cash or other benefits in kind.
• American Express reserves the rights to substitute the Welcome BONUS points offer with other offers and to terminate or change the program’s Terms and Conditions at any time in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.
• In the event of any dispute arising from this privilege, the decision of American Express shall be final and binding all related parties.
• In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy between English and Thai versions of the Program’s Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
