*Terms and Conditions of new acquisition Welcome Offer

•This Welcome Offer is only applicable to first-time applicants of The Platinum Card issued by American Express (Thai) Co., Ltd., who meet the following criteria:

- Apply for the Card and receive an approval from 18 Januray - 31 March 2025.

- Pay the first - year annual fee of Baht 40,000 (inclusive of VAT).

- Spend Baht 50,000  on the Card within the first month of Cardmembership to earn 20,000 BONUS Membership Rewards  points. Additionally, an additional spending of Baht 250,000 on top of the initial Baht 50,000 spent within the first 3 months
of Cardmembership will earn you an extra of 130,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points, as a total of 150,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points.

• Cardmembers who are existing Cardmembers or have cancelled any American Express Cards issued by American Express (Thai) Co., Ltd. in the last 24 months from the date of receiving The Platinum Card application are not eligible for this Welcome Offer for new Cardmembers. 

·  The 20,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points will be credited directly into the eligible Basic Cardmember’s account within 6-8 weeks from the month of meeting the spending requirement. Additionally, if the Cardmember accumulates an additional spending of Baht 250,000  on top of the initial Baht 50,000 within the first 3 months of Cardmembership, the Cardmember will receive an additional 130,000 BONUS Membership Rewards credited directly into the eligible Basic Cardmember’s account within 6-8 weeks from the month of meeting the spending requirement.

•   The 20,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points and another 130,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points, in additional - to be a total of 150,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points can be converted to 100,000  air miles with Avios Membership Program(1.5 Membership Rewards points = 1 mile) which is enough to redeem a one-way business class ticket to New York or a one-way business class ticket to London or a round-trip business class ticket to Tokyo/Osaka with the participating airline partners. Information is according to December 2024 Avios Membership Program as shown on www.britishairways.com. 

•   The Voucher will be sent to the Basic Cardmember’s address as stated in the application within 6-8 weeks following the month of fulfilling the spending requirement.

•   In case the Cardmember’s address is given incorrectly resulting in a non-delivery of the Voucher, it shall be deemed that the Cardmember has relinquished the right to be rewarded.

•   Terms and Conditions of Dusit Thani Bangkok also apply in regard to the Complimentary Voucher  (for a one – night stay  in a Deluxe King, Park View room,  including  breakfast for 2 persons at Dusit Thani Hotel ,Bangkok). The Voucher can be redeemed  between 1 February 2025 – 31 March 2026.

•   The Voucher is not applicable during the blackout dates on 1-7 October 2025, 21 December 2025 – 3 January 2026, 17 – 22 February 2026 , the blackout dates are subject to change without notice and  may apply to other public holidays in Thailand.

•  Should the Cardmember ceases to be a Cardmember and/or is considered by American Express not to be in good standing within the first 12 months of Cardmembership for any reason whatsoever, American Express reserves the right at its sole discretion to deduct the total amount of BONUS Membership Rewards points received under these Terms & Conditions.

•  If the eligible Cardmember has received the welcome offer and subsequently cancelled his /her Cardmembership during the same Cardmembership year, American Express reserves the right not to refund the paid annual Cardmembership fee. 

• Spending made by Supplementary Cardmember(s) will be taken into consideration in the calculation of the spending criteria.

• The charge of Card annual fee will not be taken into consideration in the calculation of the spending criteria.

• To qualify for this Offer, your Card account must be in good standing and is not cancelled for any reason.

• The BONUS Membership Rewards points cannot be refunded, transferred, redeemed or exchanged to cash or other benefits in kind.

• American Express reserves the rights to substitute the Welcome Offer with other Offers and to terminate or change the Welcome Offer's Terms and Conditions at any time in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.

• In the event of any dispute arising from this Welcome Offer, the decision of American Express shall be final and binding all related parties.

• In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy between English and Thai versions of the Program’s Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.

• The voucher must be presented at the time of booking and upon arrival

• The voucher is valid for one-time use during the validity period only.

• In case of a no-show, cancellation, or failure to use the voucher within its validity period, the
voucher will be considered void.

• Voucher cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions.

• Voucher is not refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

• Cancellation policy is adhered to hotel’s seasonal policy.

• American Express is not responsible if voucher is lost or stolen, the voucher cannot re-issue.

• In the event of circumstances beyond Hotel’s control, the Hotel may need to alter or cancel your booking, and the Hotel will provide you with reasonable alternatives.
