How do you determine my credit limit?

As per MAS regulations, you may be assigned a maximum credit limit of up to 4X your monthly income based on the income document you provide, which is subject to our internal policies.  Your total limit, a maximum of 4X your monthly income, will be split amongst your American Express Cards issued in Singapore (excluding the Cards issued by our local bank partner).  

For American Express Charge Card Holders:
If you earn greater than $120,000 per annum, you may also enjoy no pre-set spending limit on your Charge Card.  

With no pre-set spending limit, your transactions are approved based on your spending patterns and payment history. For security purposes, if you intend to make a purchase of considerably higher value, please call us in advance to avoid any inconvenience or delays when the transaction is being processed.
