American Express Experiences
With American Express Experiences, Card Members can access a range of exciting, sought-after experiences. This includes pre-sale tickets to world famous artists and access to great seats, courtesy of American Express Reserved Seating.

For some ticket purchases, a special password will be listed below the purchase link for you to enter during checkout.
Insurance
You can purchase American Express Travel Insurance up to the day your journey begins but not after you’ve started travelling.
Single Trip Travel Insurance*: This can be purchased up to 12 months before your journey begins. From the date we confirm your Insurance, you’ll be covered for loss of deposits and cancellation charges – however, all other cover will start from the date your journey begins and continue up until the final date indicated on your policy.

Eligibility criteria applies (cover is for New Zealand residents under 80 years of age for trips commencing and ending in New Zealand). Yes. The maximum journey period for Single Trip Travel Insurance is 180 consecutive days.
Accidently smashed your Smartphone screen? With Smartphone Screen Insurance, you can claim up to $500 in reimbursement for front screen repairs, when you purchase your phone outright or pay your monthly phone contract using an eligible American Express Card.
Please note: A 10% Excess will apply to the repair cost, events occurring within a 30 day waiting period are excluded and repair reimbursements are limited to two eligible claims per year.

Should your Card come with complimentary Smartphone Screen Insurance, be sure to notify us of damage by submitting a claim online first. Once you’ve had your Smartphone fixed by a repairer of your choice you’ll need to submit a claim form with the following documents:
- Receipts of the repair
- A copy of your American Express Credit Card statement(s) detailing the outright purchase of your mobile phone or monthly phone bill payments.

Reimbursement is restricted to two (2) eligible claims in a twelve (12) month period, for eligible cardholders.

Some American Express Cards provide 90 days of cover for the loss, theft or damage of eligible purchases made on your American Express Card*. Eligible Cards which include Purchase Protection Cover provides cover for eligible purchases up to $3,500 per event or a total of $30,000 per year.

Non-emergency claims: These should be made via the Chubb online claims website within 30 days of a claim event, or as soon as reasonably practicable.

To assist Chubb in resolving your claim, you must submit all supporting documentation, such as medical reports, police reports, declarations, receipts and other evidence on their request.

- Make a claim
- Check the status of pending claims
- View all claims your Card is eligible to make
- View services you’re enrolled in that allow you to make a claim.
Please note: If you are making a claim, you’ll need to have all the necessary supporting documents ready. Depending on your claim, this could include relevant receipts, photographs and quotes.
OPTION 2: To make a claim or check the status of an existing claim:
- Visit the Claims Centre
- Ensure you have all necessary documentation or evidence Chubb may require on-hand. These documents vary per claim, but will include things like relevant receipts, photographs and quotes.
