1. Enrolment and participation in Membership Rewards is subject to the Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions available on membershiprewards.co.nz and partner Terms and Conditions. Only purchases are eligible for Membership Rewards Points. You will earn 1 Membership Rewards Point for every dollar you spend in New Zealand. Membership Rewards Points do not expire while your account remains current and in good standing. A fee may be applicable for participation in partner airline programmes.
2. Points will be debited from your Membership Rewards account and a credit placed on your Card in line with the points chosen to be used for the Eligible Charge. A minimum of 1,000 Membership Rewards points is required for any Use Points for Your Charges transaction. Any credit to your Card Account cannot exceed the amount of the relevant Eligible Charges. A credit will appear on your statement identified as “Membership Rewards Credit”. Points will be debited immediately and the credit will take up to 72 hours to appear online. Credits processed after the Card Account’s statement closing date will appear in the following statement. You are still responsible for payment of the amount due on your Card Account by the due date. American Express will select and display each eligible charge for Use Points for Your Charges (“Eligible Charge”) and the Points required to pay for the Eligible Charge. Each Eligible Charge must: (a) appear within the first 150 transactions of the Online Statement of the Summary of Accounts page; (b) be redeemed within 2 months of the charge appearing on your Card Account; (c) not currently or have previously been disputed; and (d) not be a fee. Eligible Charges, including the points rate required to pay for the Eligible Charge, may be changed at any time without notice. Use Points for Your Charges transactions can only be completed online. Use Points for Your Charges is available only to Basic Card Members enrolled in the New Zealand Membership Rewards programme and is subject to the full Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions.

Additional Cards
Adding an Additional Card3 to your Account is great way to share your Card benefits with those closest to you. Plus, if you’re enrolled to earn points, you’ll earn points for every dollar spent on Additional Cards. You can add up to 4 Additional Card. An annual Card fee of up to $15 per year may apply.

1. Provided that you do not contribute to or unreasonably delay reporting any misuse of your Account and you have complied with your Card Conditions, you will not be held liable for any unauthorised charges.
2. This is available to Primary Card Members enrolled in the Membership Rewards programme. American Express will display each eligible charge on your Mobile App timeline and the points required for each transaction. A minimum of 1,000 Membership Rewards points must be redeemed at any one time. Any credit to your Card Account cannot exceed the amount of the relevant eligible purchases or the current outstanding balance on your Account. Certain fees and charges are excluded. Points will be debited immediately and the credit can take up to 72 hours to appear online. Credits processed after the Card account’s statement closing date will appear in the following statement. 3. Additional Card Members must be 18 years of age or over. Please note Additional Cards are referred to as Supplementary Cards in some Terms and Conditions and marketing materials. The basic Card Member will be liable to pay for all spend made by Additional Card Members.
