Q1. 公的証明書が2点必要になるのはいつからですか？
A1. 3月中にご提出いただいた場合でも、カードの発送が4月1日以降になった場合、変更後の条件が適用されるため、今後お申し込みいただく際は原則2点の公的証明書（もしくは住民票の写し原本1点）をご提出ください。
Q2. 公的証明書が足りなかったらどうなりますか？
A2. 恐れ入りますが、カード会員申込書を再度ご提出いただく必要がございます。不備内容のご案内と、申込書を返送いたしますので、ご案内に沿って必要な書類を添えて、申込書を再度ご提出ください。
Q3. 公的証明書が2種類ない場合はどうしたら良いですか？
A3. 住民票の写しをご提出ください。原本の場合は1点だけでお手続き可能ですが、コピーの場合は、免許証等、他の公的証明書のコピー1点を合わせてご提出いただく必要がございます。
Q4. 個人番号通知カードは公的証明書として使用できますか？
A4. いいえ。個人番号通知カードは公的証明書としてご利用いただけません。正式な写真付き個人番号（マイナンバー）カードのみご利用いただけます。
Q5. 住所の記載のない資料は公的証明書として使用できますか？
A5. いいえ。住所の記載のない場合や、現住所と異なる場合は公的証明書としてご利用いただけません。また、裏面に住所変更の記載がある運転免許証等は裏面のコピーもご提出いただく必要がございます。
Q6. 日本以外のパスポートも公的証明書として使用できますか？
A6. はい、可能です。
Q7. 新規カード入会のためのカード会員申込書は変更になりますか？
A7. はい。2020年3月にご本人様確認のための公的証明書を２点求める内容および規約が変更されました。こちらから最新の申込書をダウンロードしてください。
Q8. コーポレート・カード（グリーン）からゴールド・コーポレート・カードや、JR東海エクスプレス・コーポレート・カードなど、カードの切り替えの場合も公的証明書の提出が必要ですか？
A8. お手数ですが、カードの切り替えの場合も、ご本人様確認のため、公的証明書を２点ご提出ください。
Q9. 管理責任者の本人確認にも公的証明書が２点必要ですか？
A9. いいえ。管理責任者様のご本人様確認は、従来どおり公的証明書１点でお手続きいただけます。ただし、管理責任者様がカードをお申し込みになる場合は、公的証明書が２点必要ですのでご注意ください。

Q10. 2020年2月以降に発行された新パスポートには住所記入欄がありませんが、本人確認書類として使用できますか？
A10. いいえ、住所の記載のないものは本人確認書類としてはお使いいただけません。
FAQs Regarding Change to Official Identification Documents Required for new Card Applications

Q1. From when will two official documents be required for new Card Applications?
A1. Even if the application is submitted in March, if the Card shipping date is after 1st April, the requirement for two official documents will apply. As a matter of principle, please submit two photocopies of the required official identification documents (or one copy of your Residence Certificate) for future Card applications.
Q2. What will happen if the official documents are deemed to be insufficient?
A2. If the official documents are insufficient, the Card Member Application will need to be resubmitted. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause. We will return the application to you together with details of why the official documents submitted were insufficient. Please then resubmit the application with the required documents attached as per the information provided.
Q3. What should I do if I do not have two official documents?
A3. Please submit an original copy of your Residence Certificate. The procedure can be completed with an original copy only, but if a copy is submitted, a copy of another official document, such as a Japanese Driver’s License, must also be provided.
Q4. Can a notification card for a My Number Card be used as an official document?
A4. No. A notification card for a My Number Card cannot be used as an official document. Only an official My Number Card with a photo can be used.
Q5. Can a document without an address be used as an official document?
A5. No. Any document that does not include your address or shows a different address to your current address is inadmissible as an official document. If a change of address is described on the back of your Japanese Driver’s License or other identification document, a copy of the back must also be submitted.
Q6. Is a non-Japanese passport acceptable as an official document?
A6. Yes, it is.
Q7. Will the Card Member Application itself be changed?
A7. Yes. Details of the request for two official documents to confirm an applicant’s ID, and the T&C’s were also changed as of March 2020. Click here to download the latest application.
Q8. Do official documents need to be submitted when switching Cards, such as from a Corporate Card (Green) to Gold Corporate Card or a JR TOKAI Express Corporate Card, etc.?
A8. Yes. You will need to submit two official documents to confirm your ID, even when switching Cards. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause.
Q9. Are two official documents required to confirm an ID for an Authorizing Officer?
A9. No. As in the past, only one official document is required to confirm the ID of an Authorizing Officer. However, care must be taken as two official documents are required when an Authorizing Officer submits an application for a Card.

Q10. Can new passports issued on or after February 1st, 2020, which do not include an address field, be used as an identity verification document?
A10. No, documents which do not include your address cannot be used for identity verification.
