Chef's Story
Nobu Matsuhisa is a world-renowned chef known for reinventing Japanese cuisine with genre-defining dishes including Black Cod with Miso, Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño and Rock Shrimp Tempura. His inventive approach to flavor and dedication to dazzling palates has inspired a global craving for Nobu Style cuisine. Born and raised in Japan, Chef Nobu served a rigorous apprenticeship at a top sushi bar in Tokyo before opening his own sushi bar in Peru. It was there that Chef Nobu kindled his signature style, fusing local flavors and classic Japanese cuisine. He opened his first restaurant in the United States, Matsuhisa Beverly Hills, in 1987, attracting an immediate fan base that included Robert De Niro, who would become his lifelong friend and business partner. At De Niro’s urging, they opened the very first Nobu in New York in 1994, spawning a global empire that includes more than 30 Nobu restaurants and a stunning collection of luxury hotels.

Reservations are based on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event of a reservation cancellation, the Card Member will be subject to the restaurant’s cancellation policy, which will be communicated to the Card Member by Concierge at the time of booking. Concierge is not responsible for informing the restaurant of your dietary restrictions or for the restaurant being able to accommodate the restrictions; we do ask that you provide this information directly to the restaurant.
There is no cost to you for services a concierge performs on your behalf, although you are responsible for any purchases, fees and/or shipping charges you authorize to be charged to your Card account. We reserve the right to note profile and preference data for servicing and marketing purposes.
