Platinum Travel Insurance
Worldwide Travel Insurance
If you have to cancel your trip, some costs will inevitablybe non-refundable.
Don't worry, we'll refund those.
What will happen if you, or someone close to you, unexpectedly falls ill or has an accident with only hours to spare before departure?
Airlines, hotels and cruise lines, for example, may not offer you a refund. So if you do have to abandon, or postpone your trip, call us and we can help you.
For all those strictly non-refundable items, you'll be refunded as much as HK$30,000 per person.
Key exclusions & limitations
* Pre-existing medical conditions
* No refund for unused tickets where an insurer has paid for alternative travel arrangements to the same destination
* Circumstances known before booking a trip
* Cutting short a trip due to lack of enjoyment or adverse weather conditions
Delayed flights and missed departures are all highly inconvenient. However, we'll try our best to make them less disruptive.
If your flight left without you and was a direct result of the delay in public transport due to adverse weather conditions, strike or riot events, no need to fret. You'll receive up to HK$10,000 for missed departures.
Feeling hungry? Then relax at the restaurant of your choice, with up to HK$400 for every full 12 hours delay to spend on your Card, up to a maximum of HK$3,200. Or, you might prefer to use this allowance towards any additional travel the flight delay may have necessitated.
Should it continue to be 'one of those journeys', and your luggage doesn't turn up upon arrival at your destination, feel free to buy up to HK$400 of essential clothes and toiletries on your Card for every full 12 hours delay, again up to a maximum of HK$3,200.
Nothing can compensate for the loss of personal belongings, but this is a serious attempt.
However much you're entitled to for the loss, or breakage of items of sentimental value, arguably it's neverenough.
It's worth knowing, though, that if your baggage is damaged, stolen, or lost, your Platinum travel insurance entitles you to as much as HK$15,000 per person. Should your personal travel documents be stolen, andin the unlikely event you lose bank notes and travelers cheques as a result of robbery, you're covered for up to HK$3,000.
