I've been traveling full-time as The Professional Hobo in a financially sustainable manner since 2007. As a freelance writer, I make a living with an internet connection anywhere in the world. As a former Certified Financial Planner with experience running my own practice, I write on the topic of personal finance with authority and style. And as a Professional Hobo, I write about budget traveling as somebody with experience, practicing what I preach, and searching out the greatest adventures and stories to share. I co-authored 10,001 Ways to Live Large on a Small Budget (Skyhorse Publishing, May 2009), writing on the topics of travel and personal finance in this comprehensive and entertaining book. I am regularly asked to speak to Rotary clubs and various groups, radio shows, and television programs around the world, sharing my experiences, some of which have been quite dramatic. And whenever I get the chance, I relish opportunities to perform in musical theatre, as my first and life-long passion is for acting, singing, and dancing.
