Masters in psychology, with extensive experience in strategy formulation; executive assessment/coaching; talent development; building leadership teams; overcoming tribal warfare; launching and growing new ventures. After several years of immersive study into what differentiates great ventures from the majority that fail, co-founded ReadyFounder Services to provide products and services for entrepreneurs and investors. Researched and wrote a book on the psychology of entrepreneurship, 6 SECRETS TO STARTUP SUCCESS: How to Turn Your Entrepreneurial Passion into a Thriving Business (Published 2011, American Management Association). Speaker at venues such as South by Southwest (SXSW), Lean Startup Conference, Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), Startup Weekend, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), UNC – Chapel Hill, Davidson College, Lehigh University. Deep experience and methodology for assessing founder readiness, and improving the fit between a founder's strengths and the needs of the venture. Currently exploring approaches/tools for helping large organizations better identify, prepare, and deploy internal entrepreneurial talent to improve innovation and venture success rates. Co-developer of the Entrepreneur Core Characteristics Profile (ECCP) - a measure of 11 characteristics associated with entrepreneurial success.
