Carrie Nieman Culpepper is an award-winning communicator with experience crafting stories for the media and on behalf of brands, with a focus on art, culture, design and travel. Recognized by the Public Relations Society of America for excellence and innovation, she has developed brand messaging and public relations campaigns for startups, designers, museums, universities and major financial institutions. Culpepper’s journalistic writing has appeared in major media including Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Travel & Leisure, The New York Times and others. As an editor, she helped launch several digital media properties, including three for Aol, and worked on staff at a newspaper and magazine. She was awarded 15 Virginia Press Association Awards during her 12 years as a reporter and editor at various Virginia publications. She spearheaded marketing efforts during her editorships, including rebranding campaigns, event planning and promotion, and on-air interviews for both TV and radio. Through her consultancy, Mutual Admiration Society, she works as a communications consultant and copywriter, helping clients develop strategic brand messaging, content strategy, marketing materials, public relations and social media campaigns.
