To ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements, American Express needs to collect and periodically check your Company information. This applies to all financial institutions, and we need this information to avoid disruption to your American Express® Business Card(s).
How can I provide this information?
We have partnered with a third-party vendor to collect this information via their Portal.
- You will receive an email from customerverificationaenb@verify.americanexpress.com sharing what information we need and the deadline to provide the information by.
- If you are a new user to the portal, your email will contain a PIN number.
- Access the Portal* and use the PIN or your existing portal credentials to log in and start the questionnaire.
*Note: This link will take you to an external third-party vendor site, with whom we have partnered to collect this data. The data we collect will not be stored outside of American Express secure locations. What information do we need?
To ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements, American Express needs to collect and periodically check your Company information. This applies to all financial institutions, and we need this information to avoid disruption to your American Express® Business Card(s). The following information is required:
- Full Legal Entity Name exactly as it appears on your legal documentation such as your Form W-9 (i.e. do not abbreviate unless your legal name uses an abbreviation).
- Doing Business As (DBA) Name.
- Company Structure.
- Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) for non-sole proprietors. The TIN is a 9-digit number and should be entered into the TIN field in the questionnaire without any spaces or dashes.

Responding to Our Request
If you are not the correct contact, invite a colleague who can assist with providing the necessary information.
You only need to fill out the questionnaire with the requested information about your Company. If we require supporting evidence, we will reach back out to you with additional details and instructions on how to provide the data.
This is a security setting in your email system and not unique to this email from American Express. If you are using Microsoft Outlook, you can try the following steps (please note that your company may not allow you to change these settings):
- Select the File tab.
- Select "Options".
- Select "Trust Center".
- Select "Trust Center Settings".
- Clear the "Don’t download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items" checkbox.
Once you submit the information in the portal, you will see a message that the submission was successfully submitted.
If the provided information is incomplete or if additional information is required, we will send you a follow-up communication.
Please send an email to amex.outreach@ihsmarkit.com and request to have the questionnaire re-opened. Your existing responses will be removed. Please allow 3 business days to receive a reply, after which you can log back in to the portal with your existing credentials and access the questionnaire to submit your correct information.
Non-Compliance
If we do not receive the required information from you, it may result in a disruption to use of your Card.
