Moving to Singapore
You can easily retain your existing Card Membership status in Singapore by applying for a new Card online. Please ensure you provide your existing account number when you apply, in addition to the other information listed below.
1. Select your preferred Card from our All Cards page.
2. Click to apply online.
3. We’ll contact you for any additional information or documents.
4. Once approved, we will send you your new Card (usually within 2 weeks of receiving your necessary documents).
5. Please call the number on your old Card to transfer Membership Rewards® points or if you wish to cancel your old Card.

Please note:
- Global Card transfer process can take up to 10-14 days
- If you are a Card Member, your existing record will be taken into account when processing your application
- We may request your ID document for verification purposes
- Membership Rewards points can be transferred to your new Card if it is enrolled in the Membership Rewards programme. Otherwise, please redeem the points before you cancel your existing Card. Please note there will be a currency conversion when the points are transferred
- If you wish to keep your existing Card, you will continue to be billed any annual fees and any annual program fee(s) you are currently paying
- The balance, if any, from your existing Card cannot be transferred over to the new Card, if approved
Must haves for a Singapore move:
- Your American Express Account Number
- Singapore Employment Pass (minimum 6 months validity)
- Passport for Expatriates (minimum 6 months validity)
- Singapore Home Address
- Singapore Mobile Number
- Income Documents
- Latest Residential Address Proof (e.g. utility bill, telephone bill or bank statement with applicant's name)
