Your company has chosen the Corporate Card for your business (travel) expenses. With this card, you can enjoy the various benefits and reliable service of American Express® worldwide. And not only that – managing your business expenses is also a lot easier.

Your Corporate Card
Corporate Card issuance
The Corporate Card is issued upon receiving the cardmember application form, completed and signed by you and by the company/ Programme Administrator.
The standard time for issuing and delivering the Corporate Card is 12 business days (counting from the date of receipt of the correctly completed application). If the card is not delivered within the standard time limit, please contact Customer Service
Activate your card
Activate your card online by typing americanexpress.se/aktivera in your browser. Don't forget to sign the back of your card.
Card validation
The standard validity period of the American Express Corporate Card is 4 years. The card expires on the last day of the "Valid Thru"-month displayed on your card. A renewal card will be automatically generated for you and should arrive no later than 2 weeks before the card expires. If you should not recieve your new card two
weeks before the expiry date of the currently used card, please contact Customer Service
Lost or stolen
If your card is lost or stolen, it is necessary to block it as soon as possible. Please call our Customer Service operating 24/7. The card will be blocked immediately, and a replacement card will be issued.
Good to know:
- A Corporate Card previously reported lost or stolen cannot be re-opened. If a card should be found after reported lost or stolen, please destroy the card and await replacement card.
- Your PIN remains the same if card is renewed or replaced.
Online Account
Please register an account and login to our Online Portal. In your Online Account you can access your transactions and monthly statements. Just remember to add any new cards you may receive to your existing user-ID.

Travel Insurance
A travel insurance is included in your Corporate Card and covers you when you pay for your business trip using your card. The insurance coverage varies depending on what Corporate Card you have. Click on your card to find out more.

Emergency Cash
Most purchases you make can be paid for directly with your American Express Corporate Card. But there may be times when you need cash. With Express Cash, you can use your card to withdraw cash at over most ATMs around the world. Cash withdrawals is only available when approved by your company and included in your Corporate Programme.
- Cashlimit is 10,000 SEK every 14 days.
- Withdrawals are charged to your Corporate Card.
- The fee is currently 3% of the amount withdrawn, but minimum 25 SEK.
Global Assist 24/7
Global Assist provides a 24-hour emergency hotline for cardmembers and offers legal advice, medical advice and advice in emergency situations. Global Assist is free of charge for American Express Cardmembers, but any additional cost will apply.
Global Assist can help you:
- find names and addresses of doctors, hospitals, dentists and clinics'
- get in touch with embassies
- get in touch with an interpreter
- with emergency messaging service

Emergency Card Replacement
Should you report your card lost or stolen, and need a emergency card replacement - we can often get a replacement card to you within two working days.

Statement and Payment
Statement delivery
Once a month, you will receive an account statement that clearly shows the total amount to pay and payment due date. Your purchases will be displayed in local currency. If you have made purchases abroad, these will be reported in both local and foreign currency. You can easily keep track of your transactions via your Online Account.
e-Invoice
If you want your account statement as an e-invoice instead of a paper invoice, you can easily set this up via your Internet bank. Once set up your invoices will be sent electronically to your bank with all payment details pre-filled. All you need to do is approve.
Direct Debit
To ensure timely payment of your invoices at all times, you can also choose to use direct debit (autogiro). If you choose to combine e-invoice and direct debit, the e-invoice is sent only as information and the total invoice amount is automatically deducted from your account.

Note, we have an allocation period of up to 3 business days. If you want to make sure a payment is included on your next statement, please take the allocation period into consideration when making the payment.

Login to your Online Account to access your transactions and download your monthly statements.
- View your transactions and payments the day after they are made.
- Download current and previous statements
- Remember to add any new cards you may receive to your existing userID.

Secure Payments
Chip and PIN
Your card is equipped with Chip & PIN technology. The PIN-code is generated randomly and sent to the cardmember in a separate envelope, to the
correspondence address of the company or the cardmember. The standard time for delivery is 10 business days. If the PIN-code is not delivered on time, you should contact our Customer Service
- Your PIN-code is needed to make in-store and online card payments. You should also use it to withdraw cash from ATMs if sanctioned by your company
- You can change your PIN-code in some ATMs
Contactless
Contactless is a quick, secure and safe way to pay for anything up to 400 SEK with your American Express card. Simply hold your card close to the reader, wait for the beep and you're done.

Authentication with American Express
To keep you even more secure, we’ve introduced additional layers of security. When you shop online and when you login to your Online Account you may need to verify yourself more often.
You’ll see more of SafeKey®
SafeKey will appear more often during the checkout. SafeKey helps protect against fraud while shopping online by confirming it's really them making the purchase.
Express List keeps your online checkout safe and simple
It’s a personalized list of websites you’ve shopped at online. You can add websites onto your Express List, so next time you shop at those websites, you won’t have to verify yourself unless we need to check it’s you.

Online Purchases
When making a purchase online, please be aware that the requested security digits are the four digits on the front of your card. These digits are found above the card number on the right-hand side.

Membership Rewards
American Express own loyalty program
Our optional Membership Rewards program allows you to earn one Membership Rewards point for virtually every krona in purchases charged to your Corporate Green Card or your Corporate Gold Card. Points can be transferred to partner programs for flights and hotel stays.
Enrolment is required. To find out if you are eligible for Membership Rewards, ask your Program Administrator or contact Customer Service to connect your card. Annual program fee applies.
Earn points
You earn 1 point per krona you spend on your card - and the Membership Rewards points are valid as long as you are a Cardmember and holds a Membership Rewards membership.
Good to know:
- Membership Rewards cost SEK 250/year. Fee will be charged to your Corporate Card.
- Cash withdrawals, purchases of currency or traveler's check, card fee or late payment charges does not generate points.
- Membership Rewards points has no expiration date - as long are you are a Cardmember.
- Login to your Online Account to see your points.
Use points
With Corporate Card you can turn you points into airfares and hotel stays by tranferring your Membership Rewards points to our partners loyalty programs, such as SAS EuroBonus and Hilton.
Before you begin:
1. Select the partner whose loyalty program you want to transfer your points to.
2. Click into that partners website and create an account.
3. Go to americanexpress.se/rewards - login to your account, select the partner and calculate number of points to transfer.
Good to know:
- To make a points transfer, you first need to have an active membership with the partner.
- All loyalty programs have different earn rates and values. You need to divide your Membership Rewards points with a certain value before points transfer. Click on Airlines and Hotels to learn more.
- Please allow up to 2 weeks for accounts validation - if your partner membership is new.
- Once your Membership Rewards points have arrived safely in the partners loyaltyprogram, you can go ahead and make reservations using your points.
- Bookings and reservations of points is always done with the partner.
