At American Express we have a longstanding commitment to respect the privacy of our customers and other individuals we deal with, such as merchants. To live up to this commitment, we have adopted a set of EU Binding Corporate Rules which govern the international transfers of personal data subject to applicable data protection legislation in the European Economic Area. This is, international transfers within the American Express group entities signed up to the EU Binding Corporate Rules.
