If you are a Consumer Card customer, you have the additional option of using Maybank2u to view your transaction details. Kindly register online via Maybank2u by following the steps below:
When you insert your EMV¹ chip Card into the terminal at the checkout, the chip on your card exchanges Card data with the terminal to verify that the Card is genuine.
STEP 1: Click on Register Now on the top-right of the page with your Card Number and 6-digit PIN.
STEP 2: Login to Maybank2u.
STEP 3: Select e-Bills and Statements.
STEP 4: Choose Bills and Cards.
STEP 5: Select your preferred card by clicking View.
Cardholders will be required to complete all payment card transactions at point of sale terminals in Malaysia with a PIN entry. Signatures will no longer be accepted. PIN will be used as a form of customer verification for credit, debit, charge and prepaid cards issued in Malaysia. When you receive your new PIN card from your issuers, please follow your issuer’s instructions to activate your PIN card and select your six digit PIN. For purchases at point of sale terminals, please enter your PIN when prompted by the terminal.
When you enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) into the terminal at the checkout, Online Personal Identification Number (PIN) helps your Card issuer authenticate that you are performing the transaction.
ABOUT PIN
A PIN, or Personal Identification Number, is a secret code that is selected by cardholders to prove they are the rightful owner of the payment card. PIN usage can help protect against fraud due to lost or stolen cards, because both the card and the PIN are required to make a payment. You must always keep your PIN secret.
YOUR NEW PIN CARD, PIN AND PAYING WITH PIN AT POINT OF SALES
- Your issuer will issue you a new PIN card because your current card does not support PIN for payment.
- Please follow your Issuer’s instructions to activate your new PIN card and to select your six digit PIN.
- Each card will have only one PIN that can be used for both cash withdrawals at ATM and purchases at point of sale.
- At the point of sale terminal, please follow the prompts on the payment terminal. The payment terminal will determine if PIN is required. If so, it will prompt you to enter your PIN.
- Card transactions through the Internet or over the telephone do not require PIN. Do NOT enter your PIN into the Internet or give your PIN over the telephone.
- It is very important to keep your PIN secret so that your card is protected against lost or stolen card fraud. Please read the important Frequently Ask Questions (FAQs) on migration to PIN-based payment cards below at https://pinandpay.com.my/en/.
