The following Privacy and Data Protection Principles (the "Principles") set out how American Express and its direct and indirect subsidiaries ("American Express") will collect, use, store, share, transmit and/or delete (collectively "process") your personal data.

  1. Lawfulness: American Express, as the Data Controller of your personal data, undertakes that the treatment it gives to the same, will be in accordance and compliance with the provisions of Mexican law and international law.

  2.  Consent American Express will only process those personal data for which it obtained your consent, in accordance with the provisions of applicable Mexican law.

  3. Information: All information regarding the purposes, transfer, and treatment that American Express will give to your personal data can be consulted in our Privacy Notice.

  4. Quality: American Express will endeavour to ensure that your personal data, that it processes, are accurate, complete, relevant, correct and up to date for the correct fulfilment of the purposes of the processing thereof.

  5. Purpose: American Express will process your personal data only for the purposes set out in our Privacy Notice.

  6. Loyalty: American Express is committed to processing your personal data with the protection of your interests, as well as a reasonable expectation of privacy.

  7. Proportionality: American Express will only process your personal data that are necessary and which give rise to the contractual relationship you have with American Express, in its capacity as Data Controller, and you as Data Subject.

  8. Liability: American Express, as well as those companies that are part of the American Express economic group, including our holding company, as well as subsidiary and affiliated companies, as well as our employees may process your personal data only in accordance with these Principles.

  9. Collection: We will only collect personal data that are necessary and relevant to your contractual relationship with American Express, as the Data Controller, and you as the Data Subject.

 

These Principles reinforce our commitment to protecting your personal data. These Principles are binding for all American Express Group companies.
