Frequently Asked Questions
A. You can manage these controls in 3 easy steps:
- Log in to your Online Card Account or Amex App
- Go to ‘Account Management’ (Online Account) or ‘Account’ (App)
- Go to ‘Transaction Security Settings’ to manage and modify your transaction security settings
Once saved, any updates to these settings will be applied immediately to your Card. You will also receive an email and SMS confirmation.
A. You can easily manage and control the following domestic and international Card transaction types:
- In-store/Point of Sale (Chip)
- Online Websites and Mobile Apps
- Contactless - Tap and Pay
- ATM*
* You need to be enrolled in the Express Cash facility to withdraw cash from ATM. International ATM transactions may be enabled basis your international spend behavior.To strengthen security, Cardmembers will only be able to withdraw cash from HDFC bank ATMs within India. Services from IDBI ATMs will be unavailable from 31 October 2021 onwards.
A. No, the selection you made in the past would stay on your Card account. You are not required to take any action for the same. However, you may review and change your settings easily in the Amex App or your online Card account at any time.
A. No, the Supplementary Cardmembers will have to log in to their online account or the Amex App to manage their limits/transactions by following the steps below beginning 21 October 2021:
- Log in to your Online Card Account or Amex App
- Go to ‘Account Management’ (Online Account) or ‘Account’ (App)
- Go to ‘Transaction Security Settings’ to manage and modify your transaction security settings
If Supplementary Cardmember does not have an online account they will register, activate their Card and select a PIN by following steps mentioned here.
A. Beginning 21 October, the Program Administrator or Authorized Signatory can easily enable these transaction types by sending us an email through their registered email id to the dedicated American Express Buyer Initiated Payments mailbox.
A. Beginning 21 October, the Program Administrator or Authorized Signatory can easily enable these transaction type by sending us an email through their registered email id to the dedicated American Express Business Travel Account mailbox.
