Paying your bill online for Personal Card Members
This fast, simple payment method allows you to register your bank details via Online Services, then pay your American Express bill from either Online Services or the Amex Mobile App.
You only need to register your details once, and it’s secure, so you don’t need to worry about your details falling into the wrong hands.
Paying your bill with the Amex Mobile App
Download the Amex mobile App on your phone and enjoy the convenience of paying your bills on the go, at any time.
With the Amex Mobile App you can pay off your purchases with your Membership Rewards points. Simply select the charges you want to cover with points.
Paying your bill by Phone
Call the number on the back of your card and, once your bank account is enrolled, you can save time by paying your American Express bill over the phone every month. This service is fee-free, quick and secure. You can pay your bill any day, 24 hours a day. Payments will be withdrawn from your enrolled US Bank checking account.
Paying your bill via Financial Institution
There are two options when paying your bills via Financial Institutions; Direct Debit and Direct Bank Payment.
A Direct Debit lets you pay bills automatically, so you don’t have to worry about missing due dates. Simply provide your bank account details to American Express and tell us the amount you’d like to pay each month.*
Direct Bank Payment can take place either in person at your local Bank or via online services. Click here to take a look at Service Fees and location for our Financial Institutions.
*Please note, our online enrollment is not available for direct Debit Payments from Joint Accounts.

Express mail payments are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; however, payments received after 5:00 p.m. will be processed the following day.
* To make use of this option, you must maintain an eligible bank account in US dollars with a United States-based financial institution. Please see your Cardmember agreement for more information.
Paying your bill via Wire Transfer
Wire Transfer
Wire transfers consist of payments to an American Express account only. When sending a wire
transfer to American Express, you must include the American Express account number to which the wire transfer (payment) will post. While American Express does not charge fees for incoming wire transfers, your bank may charge a fee to process the transaction.
All acceptable wire transfers are in USD only.
