The Travel Inconvenience Insurance Plan provides benefits in the event of: Missed Departures and Missed Connections; delay, cancellation or overbooked flights; and Luggage Delay and Extended Luggage Delay when the Covered Trip is purchased and charged to your American Express International Dollar Card (IDC). The range of benefits could be from refreshments, restaurant meals to emergency purchasing of essential clothings.

Up to US$150 per covered person for personal and necessary expenses.
Up to US$500 if your baggage is delayed after four hours for purchasing of essential clothing.

Select American Express as your payment method, and you will see an option to pay with Membership Rewards points, your Card or a combination of both. You can also use your points online at bestbuy.com (no deliveries outside of US) or redeem your points for Uber rides.

No Pre-Set
Spending Limit ^‡

If on your trip you need to spend more than planned, you can do so with peace of mind because with your American Express Card you have no pre-set spending limit. Your charges are approved based on a variety of factors, giving you greater financial flexibility*.
