    • 1. How do I earn points?

      You earn Membership Rewards Points for every full pound of eligible spend on your Card. Simply use your American Express Card for your everyday purchases and watch your Points add up.

      Please note that the following are not eligible spend, so will not earn Membership Rewards Points:

      • interest;
      • all fees (including annual membership fees and default fees);
      • balance transfers;
      • cash advances (including transactions treated as cash);
      • loading of pre paid cards;
      • American Express Travellers Cheque purchases;
      • foreign exchange transactions; and
      • any amounts that are subsequently credited to your Card Account by way of refunds or other types of credits.

    • 2. How can I earn points more quickly?

      Simply follow these three easy steps:

      1. Remember to use your Card everyday for eligible purchases, from petrol for your car and your weekly supermarket shop to eating out.

      2. Use your Card for high value purchases such as travel and your Points will grow even faster.

      3. Add Supplementary Cards to your account and you will also earn Points when these Cards are used. See more information or request a Supplementary Card online, or alternatively call 0800 917 8053.

    • 3. Why does my points balance not reflect what I spent in that statement?

      The end date of your Membership Rewards statement is usually 4 to 6 days earlier than the end date of your Card statement. So, if you have earned Points during this 4 to 6 day period, they will be reflected in your next Membership Rewards statement. If you are enrolled in American Express online services, you can log in at any time to see your up to date balance online. If you wish to register for online services, please click here.
