Reward your employees and clients
Thank your valued employees for their contribution with a gift card from a variety of retailers. For example, you could exchange 20,000 points for two £50 M&S gift cards – perhaps they could stock up on Gastropub meals and snacks for some cosy nights in, or find something special for their home.
Or how about toasting your team’s success with a £100 gift card from wine specialist Laithwaite’s? The company can deliver a case of wine tailored to their taste – or you could order it yourself and share out among your team.
Remember, you can make purchases from our partner sites through SafeKey®⁴, where you can redeem 20,000 points securely against what you buy.
Treat yourself to something special
Take time out to recognise how hard you work. How about swapping your 20,000 points for £100 worth of Amazon goodies? Perhaps you could treat yourself to a back massager, some wireless headphones, or even some clothes you’ve had your eye on.
Alternatively, head to Boots – where 20,000 points are currently worth £90 – and splash out on your favourite fragrance or skincare brand. If you're not sure what you want, why not browse BrandAlley, which retails some of the biggest brands at reduced prices. 20,000 points will get you £90 worth of goods on the site.
Upgrade your business tech
With 20,000 points, you can give your business tech a revamp. For instance, Currys sells a range of work-related tech that you can get in exchange for your points. If you've had enough of a temperamental mouse, keyboard or printer, consider investing in a sleek replacement worth up to £90 with 20,000 Membership Rewards points. Some Currys HP wireless inkjet models even come complete with a four-month supply of ink.
Alternatively, if you want to upgrade your video call experience, a Blue Snowball iCE USB Streaming Microphone will not only help your clients and employees to hear you loud and clear, it will look good on your desk.
Redeem points on travel
If you need to take a trip for either business or pleasure, you can put 20,000 points towards airline tickets, a Eurostar journey, or a hotel stay. Check out your options with our loyalty partners and use the points up whenever you’re ready⁵.
Remember: if you’re transferring 20,000 points to book a flight or hotel room, check the availability and points needed before completing the transfer, as all transfers are final. Transferring 20,000 points to our loyalty partners gives you between £200 and £600 to spend.
Ways to reach 20,000 Membership Rewards points
If you’ve not yet collected 20,000 Membership Rewards points, there are many ways to increase your balance, simply by using your American Express Business Gold Card.
For example, you could switch your utilities payments so they are made from your card. By paying for your gas, electricity, insurance, internet and phone costs, plus any professional subscriptions, you will quickly amass points, as every £1 you spend equals one Membership Rewards point.
You could also invite your friends to apply for the card that best suits them. Once they are approved, you’ll receive bonus Membership Rewards points – the quantity depends on the type of card you hold.
Membership Rewards points don’t expire, and the amount you can earn isn’t capped, meaning that you’ll always be able to use your points towards business-related costs and treat employees – and yourself.
