Understanding your Statement
Account Summary
Previous Closing Balance
This is the closing balance that was displayed on last month’s statement.
New Credits
The total of any credits made to your Card since your last statement, including any payments, refunds, Amex credits and credit adjustments.
New Debits
The total of all new charges on your Card for that statement period, including any instalment plan balances you’ve cancelled.
Plan It Instalments Due
The total of any instalment payments due for that period, including any monthly instalment fees.
Closing Balance
This is the outstanding balance on this Account as of the current statement.
Minimum Repayment
The minimum amount you need to pay to avoid a late payment fee and mark on your credit file. This amount is made up of the minimum payment calculated from your Account balance and all Plan It Instalments due.
Payment Due Date
The date your minimum payment must reach your American Express Account. Pay by this date to avoid a late payment fee.

New Plan It Instalments and Fees
This section shows any new plans created and instalment plans fees charged to your Card within that statement period.
Total of New Instalment Plans and Fees
The sum of all new instalment plans for that statement period.
Plan It Instalments Summary
A summary of any instalment plans, including the original and remaining balance, plus any instalments due that month.

New Plan It Instalments Created
This section shows any new instalment plans created within that statement period.
Total of New Instalments Created
The sum of all new instalment plans for that statement period.
Statement Period Credit Summary
Credit Summary
An overview of the credit position of your Card, including how much you owe and how much more you can spend.
Closing Balance
This is the outstanding balance on this Account as of the current statement.
Total Remaining Plan Balance
The amount you have left to pay off your plans, excluding the instalment(s) due this month.
Total Balance
The total amount owing on your Card including the standard closing balance and remaining plan balance(s). The amount is not due in full this month.
