Introducing Lexi Miles, Founder and CEO, WAXON
@lexi_waxon
My name is Lexi Miles. I'm the founder of WAXON Laser + Waxbar.
What separates WAXON from other companies in the industry is our people and our wax.
We opened our first WAXON location in April of 2012.
How Do You Manage Growth?
In scaling our business, we've used a combination of cash flow and credit to scale.
Using Amex Business Cards has given us flexible cash flow in order to make strategic large purchases for our company. When we were just starting out, we manufactured a wax in Spain, and we bring in 100 kilos every three months. Amex has allowed us to access this cash flow.
How has Amex Backed Your Business?
Amex has benefited our business as we've franchised through our central purchasing. It's allowed us to have more flexible purchasing power with our suppliers, and that has given us better margins and lower costs. That allows us to price our services to our clients more affordably.
What’s Next For WAXON?
What I see for the future of WAXON is super exciting. We're going to continue to open new locations across Canada and beyond, and, also manufacture new products that help women feel more comfortable and competent in their own skin.
Amex has helped us get to where we are today with the flexible cash provided through the Business Platinum Card. The impact it's had on our culture by being able to reward our team [is significant].
