1. Earn 1.25 points for every $1.00 in eligible purchases charged to your Card. Account must be in good standing. Membership Rewards points will be earned by the Basic Cardmember on the amount of all purchases, less credits and adjustments. Interest charges, annual fees, other fees and charges for travellers cheques and foreign currencies are not purchases and do not qualify for Membership Rewards points.
2. You can redeem a fixed number of points to cover the base ticket price of eligible flights up to the applicable maximum base ticket price. The base ticket price (often referred to by airlines as the base fare) excludes taxes, fees and carrier surcharges. You will be charged for these additional costs and any dollar amount that exceeds the applicable maximum base ticket price. The Fixed Points Travel Program applies to airfares offered through American Express Travel Services Canada or on americanexpress.ca/travel. When you redeem points for an eligible flight, the full cost of the flight, including taxes, fees and carrier surcharges will be charged to your Card upon booking. Within 5-10 business days from the date of booking, you will receive a statement credit for the base ticket price up to the applicable maximum base ticket price. If your statement monthly cycle cut date falls between the date the transaction is recorded on your statement and the date the statement credit is processed, you will be responsble for paying your monthly statement in full. 3. You can redeem Membership Rewards points for a statement credit towards an Eligible Purchase charged to an Eligible Card. You must redeem a minimum of 1,000 Points per redemption. Redemption rates may vary by Eligible Card. Statement credits on your Card Account should not exceed the aggregate amount of the Eligible Purchase(s) on your Eligible Card. You can register for online services to view your Eligible Purchases and to redeem online. Only Eligible Purchases posted to your Card Account during the last 3 months, up to 150 most recent Eligible Purchases will be displayed for redemption. If you wish to redeem points towards an Eligible Purchase within the last 12 months that is not displayed online, please contact us at the number listed on the back of your Card.

6. An Employee Card is a Supplementary Card. Account must be in good standing. $250 annual fee for Supplementary Business Platinum Card. $0 fee for a Gold Supplementary Card, up to a maximum of 99 Supplementary Cards per account.
7. Account must be in good standing. Membership Rewards points will be earned by the Basic Cardmember on the amount of all purchases, less credits and adjustments. Interest charges, annual fees, other fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for Membership Rewards points.
8. Effective September 26, 2023, to be issued on your next anniversary on or after September 26, 2023, you will have access to the $200 CAD Annual Travel Credit that can only be redeemed at time of booking through American Express Travel Online at americanexpress.ca/travel or by calling Platinum Card Travel Service. Travel booking must be charged to your Business Platinum Card. Account must be in good standing. If you choose to use the Travel Credit, it will be credited to your Card account within 2 business days. Basic Cardmember is entitled to one (1) Annual Travel Credit each year based on Cardmembership anniversary date, towards a single travel booking of $200 or more, and will appear on your billing statement as “Platinum Annual Travel Credit”. If you cancel your travel booking after redeeming the Annual Travel Credit, you will not be able to use it again in the same year. You can only use one Travel Credit per booking.
9.Business Platinum Cardmembers will receive up to a $100 CAD statement credit when NEXUS application or renewal fees are charged to their account. Business Platinum Cardmembers are eligible to receive up to $100 CAD in statement credits every four (4) years for application or renewal fees for the NEXUS program when charged to an eligible Card. Cardmembers will receive statement credits for their total spend on NEXUS fees rounded down to the nearest dollar, up to a maximum of $100 CAD in cumulative statement credits, per account per four (4) year period, regardless of whether the NEXUS fees are charged on the Basic or Supplementary Card. American Express will not provide additional statement credits once the maximum of $100 CAD in cumulative statement credits have been issued for subsequent NEXUS application or renewal fees charged to the same eligible Card within the same four (4) year period even if the original application is rejected. For existing Cardmembers as of September 26, 2023, the first four (4) year period runs from September 26, 2023 until September 25, 2027. For new Cardmembers after September 26, 2023, the first four (4) year period runs from the initial Card anniversary date until the day before the fourth (4th) Card anniversary date. In either case, each subsequent four (4) year period follows the period that immediately preceded it. American Express has no control over the application and/or approval process for the NEXUS program and does not have access to any information provided to the government by the Cardmember or by the government to the Cardmember. American Express has no liability regarding the NEXUS program. The NEXUS program is run by CBSA and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection independently (without administration by American Express). For additional information on the NEXUS program, please visit cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/services/travel-voyage/prog/nexus/menu-eng.html. The NEXUS program is subject to change, and American Express has no control over those changes.
Please allow up to 8 weeks after the qualifying NEXUS transaction is charged to the eligible Card account for the statement credit to be posted to the Card account. American Express relies on accurate transaction data to identify eligible NEXUS purchases. If you do not see a credit for a qualifying purchase on your eligible Card after 6-8 weeks, simply call the number on the back of your Card.
Cardmembers are responsible for payment of all application charges until the statement credit posts to the Card account. To be eligible for this benefit, Card account(s) must be active and not in default at the time of statement credit fulfillment.

10.Hilton Honors Gold Status – As a Business Platinum Cardmember you are eligible to enrol in complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status. Offer available only to Business Platinum Cardmembers and is not transferable. Full details of Gold status can be found at HiltonHonors.com/MemberBenefits and is subject to change by Hilton. Gold status benefits are subject to availability at participating hotels and resorts within the Hilton Portfolio. Once you request enrolment in Hilton Honors Gold status, American Express will share your enrolment information with Hilton. Hilton may use this information in accordance with its privacy policy available at Hilton.com/PrivacyPolicy. If you already have Hilton Honors Gold Status, you can maintain the benefit in the future because you don’t need to meet any stay requirements. You maintain Gold status without meeting otherwise required criteria only while an eligible Cardmember or until American Express notifies you that the benefit is terminated. 11. Fine Hotels + Resorts – Valid only for new Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR) bookings made through Platinum Card Travel Service, Centurion Travel, americanexpress.ca/travel or americanexpress.ca/fhr. Payment must be made with an American Express Card in the Canadian Platinum, Business Platinum, Corporate Platinum or Centurion Cardmember’s name. Available for Canadian Cardmembers of The Platinum Card®, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, American Express® Corporate Platinum Card or Centurion® Card from American Express. Platinum, Business Platinum or Centurion Cardmember must travel on the itinerary booked under FHR reservations to be eligible for benefits described. Limit of one (1) benefit package per room per stay. Benefit package can include Noon check-in, Room upgrade, Daily breakfast for two people, guaranteed 4:00 pm late check-out, plus an additional special benefit. Noon check-in and room upgrade based on availability and provided at check-in. Certain room categories are not eligible for room upgrades. Call Platinum Card Travel Service, or Centurion Travel for details. The type and value of the daily breakfast (for two) varies by property. The actual value of the daily breakfast will be communicated at the time of check-in. Daily breakfast will be valued at a minimum of US$60 per room per day. Back-to-back stays booked by a single Cardmember, Cardmembers travelling in the same party and staying in the same room, within a 24-hour period at the same property are considered one stay and are ineligible for additional FHR benefits (“Prohibited Action”).
American Express and the Property reserve the right to modify or revoke FHR benefits at any time without notice if we or they determine, in our or their sole discretion, that you may have engaged in a Prohibited Action, or have engaged in abuse, misuse or gaming in connection with your FHR benefits. In the event the Platinum, Business Platinum, Corporate Platinum, or Centurion Cardmember cancels the reservation(s), FHR rates and benefit package will no longer apply to any remaining reservation(s). Participating Fine Hotels + Resorts properties and benefits are subject to change. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in room, with the exception of select properties where In-Room Wi-Fi is included as part of a mandatory daily resort fee or is not available. In these instances complimentary Wi-Fi will be provided in a common space on property. Call Platinum Card Travel Service, or Centurion Travel for property specific details regarding Wi-Fi.
12. Valid at participating hotels for bookings of at least two consecutive nights, booked online through americanexpress.ca/travel (online bookings currently only available to Basic Business Platinum Cardmembers). Payment must be made in full with the Business Platinum Card from American Express Cardmember’s name at time of checkout. The Business Platinum Cardmember must travel on the itinerary booked. The Cardmember can receive a hotel credit upon checkout of up to $100 USD based on qualifying charges charged to the room excluding charges for cost of room, taxes, gratuities and fees. Varies by property and facilities available. The $100 USD credit is non-refundable and non-redeemable by the Eligible Cardmember for cash. Additional exclusions based on specific hotel restrictions may also apply (including without limitation, purchases within the hotel that are unaffiliated and/or owned by third parties) - see hotel front desk for details. Credit cannot be carried over to another stay and expires at check-out. Credit is non-exchangeable and non-refundable and is applied in USD or equivalent in local currency based on exchange rate on day of check-out. May not be combined with other offers or programs unless indicated. Limit one credit per room, per stay. 13.The International Airline Program (the “Program”) offers a complimentary or discounted companion ticket, complimentary upgrade, special class fare or discounted fare on participating airlines to holders of an eligible basic American Express Cards (“Eligible Cards”) as described in this Welcome Brochure or are otherwise identified to you by American Express (“Eligible Cardmember”). In order to take advantage of the Program, the Eligible Cardmember’s account must be active (meaning not cancelled).
14. Global Lounge Collection – Holders of the Business Platinum Card may access participating Canadian and International airport lounges (“Participating Lounges”) on a complimentary basis, upon presentation of the required entry documentation. Participating Lounges may change from time to time. House rules, terms and conditions of Participating Lounges apply. Use of Participating Lounges is subject to availability. Unless otherwise stated, Participating Lounge access cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or benefit and is subject to change or cancellation at any time.
15. Basic and Supplementary Business Platinum Cardmembers must charge the parking fee to their Business Platinum Card for the associated Valet fee to be waived. Toronto Pearson 15% Parking Discount – 15% discount off the cost of parking (including taxes) will be provided as a credit to your Business Platinum Card statement. American Express Basic and Supplementary Cardmembers with an eligible Card are entitled to access the Pearson Priority Lanes (“Priority Lanes”). The Priority Lanes are serviced by the Greater Toronto Airport Authority. Priority Lanes are located at select departure areas at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport in Terminals 1 & 3. Access to a Pearson Priority Lane is available to eligible Canadian Cardmembers and companions travelling on the same itinerary. The eligible Cardmember can request single-use QR Codes online by visiting go.amex/yyz. For assistance, please call the phone number on the back of your Card. Access to the Priority Lanes is intended for the Basic and Supplementary Cardmember and a reasonable number of persons travelling with them on the same itinerary. If we determine, in our sole discretion, that a Cardmember (or Supplementary Cardmember, as applicable) is not using this benefit as intended, we reserve the right to revoke your access to the benefit or to cancel your Card account. All passengers departing from Pearson International Airport, including those accessing the Priority Lane, are required to comply with airport security and customs screening requirements. Priority Lanes access is subject to change or cancellation at any time and additional terms and conditions apply.
16. Business Platinum Cardmembers must enrol directly with Hertz to receive Hertz Gold Plus Rewards® Five Star Tier membership (“Membership”). Membership is subject to the terms, conditions and restrictions of Hertz which are subject to change without notice. CDP # 633306 must be quoted at time of any reservation. Cardmembers who enrol in the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards® Five Star Tier Club can receive a one-car class upgrade at participating locations at time of rental. The upgrade is subject to availability and change and is valid on rentals of Compact through Full Size Cars. American Express reserves the right to instruct Hertz to cancel your membership if you cease to be a Business Platinum Cardmember or your account is not in good standing. 17. Upon authorization by the Business Platinum Cardmember, Concierge uses its best efforts to source or arrange the purchase of requested goods or services from a supplier. There is no charge for using the services of Concierge, however the Cardmember will be responsible for paying the supplier for any purchases and/or shipping charges you authorize, as well as any other fees or related costs that may apply. Amex Bank of Canada cannot be responsible for the acts or omissions of suppliers, and cannot guarantee successful fulfillment of Cardmember requests in all instances.

22. The registered Card account must be in good standing. Must first register your Card to the offer and use same Card to make qualifying purchase(s) every 3 months from 05/07/2023 to 31/12/2026. Date format is DD/MM/YYYY. Your ability to earn a statement credit will reset every 3 months. The first 3-month period runs from 05/07/2023 until 31/09/2023. Subsequent 3-month periods will start on the first day of every January, April, July, and October until the offer ends on 31/12/2026. A purchase made during the offer period prior to registration of your eligible Card for this offer is not a qualifying purchase. Your registration of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to qualifying purchases on that Card.

23. Effective October 1, 2023, Basic Business Platinum Cardmembers will have access to the $120 CAD Annual Wireless Credit. Enrolled Cardmembers will be eligible to receive a maximum of $120 CAD in statement credits on spend at eligible National Mobile Service Providers and their wholly owned subsidiaries, as defined by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), and Sasktel. Eligible Wireless Providers are subject to change and are required to accept American Express Cards in Canada. Spend a minimum of $10 CAD a month, receive a $10 CAD statement credit, up to 12 times in a 12-month period, up to a maximum of $120 CAD. A one-time enrolment is required for the $120 Annual Wireless Credit through Amex Offers and Cardmembers will automatically be enrolled for future redemption periods and do not need to re-enrol. Each month is a separate redemption period. Must first register your Card to the offer and use same Card to make qualifying purchase(s) after registering in order to receive the statement credit. A purchase made during the benefit period prior to registration of your eligible Card for this benefit is not a qualifying purchase.
Any credit not redeemed during the applicable redemption period will not roll over to the following redemption period and will expire. Your Card must be charged prior to the end of each redemption period (the 28th, 29th, 30th or 31st of the respective month, depending on the applicable month) to be eligible for the credit within that redemption period. Purchases made by the last day of the month but charged to the registered Card after that day may not count towards eligible spend for that month (for example, if a purchase is made on or before the last day of the month but charged by the merchant on a date that occurs after the last day of the month or if there is a time difference). If this occurs, that purchase will count towards eligible spend for the next month.
This benefit is available to Basic Business Platinum Cardmembers only. If you switch to a new Card product that is not eligible for this benefit, enrolment will be removed from your Card account. If you are no longer eligible for this benefit, due to a change in account status including but not limited to fraudulent flags, suspension, or cancellation, it will be removed from your account.
Valid only on purchases for monthly wireless telephone service charges made directly from an eligible national wireless carrier in Canada. For more information on the designation of national wireless carriers, please review the CRTC’s regulatory policy. Any purchases from third parties, authorized retailers or resellers, payment account or service of a third party, a card reader attached to a mobile phone and online aggregators, are excluded. Bundled services offered by the above Wireless companies for TV, Internet and VoIP and VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) services may be excluded. Benefit limited to the Card to which the offer is saved and only spend on this Card counts towards the benefit. Transactions made with a Supplementary Card are not eligible for the credit.
Credit should appear on your billing statement within 5 business days from qualifying spend but may take up to 5 months. Credit may be reversed if your qualifying purchase is refunded or cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit.

A statement credit does not constitute a payment and does not satisfy the requirement to pay the minimum due on a credit Card. The Basic/Primary Cardmember must continue to make separate payments of at least the minimum due in accordance with the Cardmember Agreement and account statement applicable to their registered Card account.
24. Upon authorization by the Business Platinum Cardmember, Concierge uses its best efforts to source or arrange the purchase of requested goods or services from a supplier. There is no charge for using the services of Concierge, however the Cardmember will be responsible for paying the supplier for any purchases and/or shipping charges you authorize, as well as any other fees or related costs that may apply. Amex Bank of Canada cannot be responsible for the acts or omissions of suppliers, and cannot guarantee successful fulfillment of Cardmember requests in all instances.
25. This charge Card has both Due in Full and Flexible Payment Option balances. All Due in Full balances must be paid each month. Interest rate of 30% applies to each delinquent Due in Full charge. This rate is effective from the day account is opened. The Preferred rate of 21.99% applies to your Flexible Payment Option balance. If you have 2 separate Missed Payments in a 12 month period, the Flexible Payment Option rate for your account will be 25.99%. If you have 3 or more separate Missed Payments in a 12 month period, the Flexible Payment Option rate will be 28.99%. These rates are effective from the day the Flexible Payment Option is first available on your account.
26. You can redeem Membership Rewards points for a statement credit towards an Eligible Purchase charged to an Eligible Card. You must redeem a minimum of 1,000 points per redemption. Statement credits on your Card Account should not exceed the aggregate amount of the Eligible Purchase(s) on your Eligible Card. You can register for Online Services to view your Eligible Purchases and to redeem online. Only Eligible Purchases posted to your Card Account during the last 3 months, up to 150 most recent Eligible Purchases, will be displayed for redemption. If you wish to redeem points towards an Eligible Purchase within the last 12 months that is not displayed online, please contact us at the number listed on the back of your Card.
