The interest free grace period is 28, 29, 30 or 31 days from the closing date of the current statement to the closing date of the next statement depending on the number of days in the calendar month in which the closing date occurs. The number of interest free days varies based on a variety of factors, including when charges are posted to your account, whether your account is in good standing, and the closing date of your statement.
This charge Card has both Due in Full and Flexible Payment Option balances. All Due in Full balances must be paid each month. Interest rate of 30% applies to each delinquent Due in Full charge. This rate is effective from the day account is opened. The Preferred rate of 21.99% applies to your Flexible Payment Option balance. If you have 2 separate Missed Payments in a 12 month period, the Flexible Payment Option rate for your account will be 25.99%. Effective October 1, 2023, Basic Business Platinum Cardmembers will have access to the $120 CAD Annual Wireless Credit. Enrolled Cardmembers will be eligible to receive a maximum of $120 CAD in statement credits on spend at eligible National Mobile Service Providers and their wholly owned subsidiaries, as defined by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), and Sasktel. Eligible Wireless Providers are subject to change and are required to accept American Express Cards in Canada. Spend a minimum of $10 CAD a month, receive a $10 CAD statement credit, up to 12 times in a 12-month period, up to a maximum of $120 CAD. A one-time enrolment is required for the $120 Annual Wireless Credit through Amex Offers and Cardmembers will automatically be enrolled for future redemption periods and do not need to re-enroll. Each month is a separate redemption period. Must first register your Card to the offer and use same Card to make qualifying purchase(s) after registering in order to receive the statement credit. Any credit not redeemed during the applicable redemption period will not roll over to the following redemption period and will expire. Your Card must be charged prior to the end of each redemption period (the 28th, 29th, 30th or 31st of the respective month, depending on the applicable month) to be eligible for the credit within that redemption period. Purchases made by the last day of the month but charged to the registered Card after that day may not count towards eligible spend for that month (for example, if a purchase is made on or before the last day of the month but charged by the merchant on a date that occurs after the last day of the month or if there is a time difference). If this occurs, that purchase will count towards eligible spend for the next month.
This benefit is available to Basic Business Platinum Cardmembers only. If you switch to a new Card product that is not eligible for this benefit, enrolment will be removed from your Card account. If you are no longer eligible for this benefit, due to a change in account status including but not limited to fraudulent flags, suspension, or cancellation, it will be removed from your account.
Valid only on purchases for monthly wireless telephone service charges made directly from an eligible national wireless carrier in Canada. Any purchases from third parties, authorized retailers or resellers, payment account or service of a third party, a card reader attached to a mobile phone and online aggregators, are excluded. Credit should appear on your billing statement within 5 business days from qualifying spend but may take up to 5 months. Credit may be reversed if your qualifying purchase is refunded or cancelled. The $200 CAD Annual Travel Credit can only be redeemed at time of booking through American Express Travel Online at americanexpress.ca/travel or by calling Platinum Card Travel Service. Travel booking must be charged to your Business Platinum Card. Account must be in good standing. If you choose to redeem the Travel Credit, it will be credited to your Card account within 2 business days. Basic Cardmember is entitled to one (1) Annual Travel Credit each year based on Card membership anniversary date, towards a single travel booking of $200 or more, and will appear on your billing statement as “Platinum Annual Travel Credit”. The Annual Travel Credit must be redeemed within the same anniversary year it is issued, and it cannot be carried forward to any subsequent year. Global Dining Collection – Benefits available for Canadian Business Platinum Cardmembers at participating restaurants. Account must be in good standing. Participating restaurants are subject to change without notice. Benefits vary by participating restaurant. The benefits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or substituted, and cannot be combined with any other dining promotions or offers unless indicated otherwise. In order to take advantage of the benefits, reservations must be made through Concierge and the restaurant charge must be charged to your Business Platinum Card. Fulfillment of the program benefits is the responsibility of the individual participants. The reserved table benefit is limited to one (1) table for up to four (4) people or two (2) tables for up to two (2) people. Reservations are based on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. Advance reservations required. Some restaurants require up to 2 days advance reservation. In the event of a reservation cancellation, the Cardmember will be subject to the restaurant’s cancellation policy, which will be communicated to the Cardmember by Concierge at the time of booking. Concierge is not responsible for informing the restaurant of your dietary restrictions or for the restaurant being able to accommodate the restrictions; we do ask that you provide this information directly to the restaurant.
Upon authorization by the Business Platinum Cardmember, Concierge uses its best efforts to source or arrange the reservation as requested. Business Platinum concierge services are provided at no charge, however Business Platinum Cardmembers pay supplier for authorized charges. If applicable, Business Platinum Cardmembers will be advised of the amount of a no-show reservation fee at the time of booking. Business Platinum Cardmembers will receive up to a $100 CAD statement credit when NEXUS application or renewal fees are charged to their account. Business Platinum Cardmembers are eligible to receive up to $100 CAD in statement credits every four (4) years for application or renewal fees for the NEXUS program when charged to an eligible Card. Cardmembers will receive statement credits for their total spend on NEXUS fees rounded down to the nearest dollar, up to a maximum of $100 CAD in cumulative statement credits, per account per four (4) year period, regardless of whether the NEXUS fees are charged on the Basic or Supplementary Card. American Express will not provide additional statement credits once the maximum of $100 CAD in cumulative statement credits have been issued for subsequent NEXUS application or renewal fees charged to the same eligible Card within the same four (4) year period even if the original application is rejected. The Hotel Collection – Valid at participating hotels for new bookings of at least two consecutive nights made through Platinum Card Travel Service, americanexpress.ca/travel or americanexpress.ca/THC. Payment must be made in full with an eligible American Express Card in the Canadian Business Platinum Cardmember’s name at time of checkout. The Business Platinum Cardmember must travel on the itinerary booked. To be eligible, Basic Business Platinum Cardmembers must book an eligible round-trip first class or business class flight with a minimum 1-night stay on the same itinerary through Platinum Card Travel Service and pay with their Business Platinum Card.
