American Express^® Personal Loans

1. The pre-approved offer is extended to you based on the credit, financial and personal information we have about you at the time the offer is made, as well as your estimated income based on all such information. Your application will be subject to income and identity confirmation, and American Express reserves the right to withdraw this offer or decline your application if: (i) one or more of your accounts with us are not in good standing; (ii) bankruptcy or similar proceedings have been initiated; or (iii) your debt to income level (based on the income you provided in your application and the debts reported to us) is too high to support the loan amount requested. The offer is not transferable and is void if another American Express Personal Loan has been approved and accepted by you. We may have evaluated this offer using an automated system. Offer may be changed at any time. American Express Personal Loans are currently not available in Quebec and Nova Scotia
2. Your credit score will not be impacted when you apply for this loan. However, if you are approved and agree to the terms of the loan, we will provide information about your loan to credit reporting agencies. This may impact your credit score, just as any credit product would. 
   

Plan It^® Installment Program

1. When you create an installment plan, you will be charged a monthly installment fee. The monthly installment fee percentage will be disclosed to you during plan creation. This is not a promotional or special rate offer. The fee charged is comparable to the interest you would have paid if you carried this balance on your account, without being in an installment plan. Please see the Plan It (American Express Installment Program) section in your Cardmember Agreement or the Program Terms and Conditions for more details. Plan It is currently not available in Quebec, Nunavut, PEI or Nova Scotia.
2. Your ability to create each new installment plan will depend on an assessment of eligibility made at the time you seek to create an installment plan. In order to create a new installment plan, your account must be in good standing and you must have a minimum $100 purchase or statement balance on your eligible card. Any transactions related to funds advances and balances at special rates of interest will not be eligible unless we make a special offer to you. We may also limit or otherwise restrict your ability to participate in the installment program based on your account's available credit or for any other reason.
