If you have a David Jones American Express Card, you may have heard that the card partnership between David Jones and American Express is coming to an end.
David Jones has appointed Latitude as its new financial services provider.
In February 2024, David Jones communicated early details of the new credit card program to be provided by Latitude. If you have an active David Jones American Express Card, David Jones has advised us that you will be transitioned to the new David Jones Latitude card in mid July 2024.
For now, you can keep using your David Jones American Express Card as usual.

Yes, you will continue to be covered for all eligible purchases made on your David Jones American Express Card, regardless of whether you transfer to Latitude or cancel your David Jones American Express Card. The other eligibility requirements and exclusions under the policy still apply.
For purchases made on the David Jones Latitude card you will need to review the insurance policy provided by Latitude, which can be located on the David Jones website.
If you are participating in the American Express Membership Rewards program, you will continue to earn points until 9pm AEST on 12 July 2024. This is the day before your account transitions to Latitude.
You may redeem your points under the American Express Membership Rewards Program through the following dates:
- Physical gift cards – up until 13 June 2024
- All other rewards – up until 1 July 2024.
When your account transitions to Latitude, any points balance you have under the American Express Membership Rewards program will also transfer to Latitude and you will be able to redeem your points through the Latitude Rewards Program.
Transactions from 9pm AEST on 12 July will earn points under the Latitude Rewards Program.
If you have selected to participate in the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, you will continue to earn Qantas Points until your account transitions to Latitude and American Express will credit these to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.
Latitude will not provide the option to earn Qantas Points through the Latitude Rewards Program.
Transactions made on the new David Jones Latitude card will earn points under the Latitude Rewards Program.
If you are enrolled in the Membership Rewards program, you will need to transfer or redeem any Membership Rewards points within 30 days of cancelling your Card by contacting us on 1300 132 639.
If you are enrolled in the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, any remaining point balance will be automatically transferred to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account within 30 days. Please refer to the program’s Terms and Conditions for more details.
