You can enjoy stress-free shopping with select American Express Cards. Eligible purchases can be covered for up to 90 or 120 days (depending on the Card) from the date of purchase.
Purchase Protection® Plan†1*
Many eligible retail items that are purchased anywhere in the world with select Cards can be automatically insured for up to 90 or 120 days, depending on the limit that applies to your card, from the date of purchase against accidental physical damage or theft for up to $1,000 per occurrence (for all purchased items combined).

Buyer's Assurance® Protection Plan†1*
Your coverage can automatically extend the manufacturer’s original warranty up to one or two additional years (depending on your Card) when you fully charge eligible items to your Card worldwide. The manufacturer's warranty must be valid in Canada and the U.S. and must not exceed five years. Coverage is limited to $10,000 per item, not to exceed $25,000 per Cardmember per policy year for all occurrences and all items combined.
Buyer’s Assurance Protection Plan extends the original equipment manufacturer’s basic warranty, the plan will not extend any additional coverage purchased from the manufacturer, retailer or any other source.
