You can be covered for theft, loss and damage of your rental car with an MSRP of up to $85,000 for rentals of 48 days or less when you fully charge your rental to your Marriott Bonvoy® American Express®* Card. To take advantage of this protection, simply decline the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) or similar option offered by the car rental agency.
This insurance provides coverage up to $500 (aggregate maximum with Baggage Delay Insurance) for necessary and reasonable accommodations, restaurant expenses, taxi fare and sundry items purchased within 48 hours when delayed or denied boarding for 4 hours or more and no alternate transportation is made available when you fully charge your airline ticket to your Marriott Bonvoy® American Express®* Card.
This insurance provides coverage up to $500 (aggregate maximum with Flight Delay Insurance), for reasonable and necessary emergency purchases for essential clothing and sundry items purchased within four days of arrival at your destination when your checked-in baggage on your outbound trip is delayed for 6 or more hours when you fully charge your airline ticket to your Marriott Bonvoy® American Express®* Card.
You can be covered for loss or damage to your checked-in or carry-on baggage and personal effects while in transit for up to a maximum of $500 per trip for all insured person(s) combined when you fully charge your airline tickets to your Marriott Bonvoy® American Express®* Card.
When you fully charge your accommodations to your Marriott Bonvoy® American Express®* Card, this insurance provides coverage up to $500 against the loss of most personal items (excluding cash) if your accommodation is burglarized while you are registered as a guest.

To be eligible to receive the 15 Elite Night Credits with this Card, you must be the Basic Cardmember, your Card Account must be in good standing at the time of the 15 Elite Night Credit deposit, and you must have an active Marriott Bonvoy program Account. To receive the 15 Elite Night Credit deposit, your Card Account must be linked to a Marriott Bonvoy program Account in your name. If you did not apply for your Marriott Bonvoy® American Express®* Card with a pre-existing Marriott Bonvoy account number, American Express will automatically generate a new number for you. You can retrieve this number by calling American Express at the number on the back of your Card.
If at any time you need to find your Marriott Bonvoy number, you can view it by logging into your Marriott Bonvoy Account under your profile, under the Personal Info section. If you were given a new Marriott Bonvoy account number from American Express, you must activate your online accountopens in new window in order to track and redeem your points, view your hotel stays, and more.
First, if you have a pre-existing Marriott Bonvoy account number, you can update the number American Express has on file by calling American Express at the number on the back of your Card.

Free Night Award Certificates are valid for one year from point of issue and expiration dates cannot be extended. You must redeem and stay by its expiration date. For example, if your Free Night Award expires on December 20, 2024, your check in date can be no later than December 20, 2024.
Your Free Night Award will be issued if your Marriott Bonvoy® American Express®* Card account is in good standing. Please allow up to 10 weeks from your Card anniversary date to receive the Free Night Award. The amount of Marriott Bonvoy Points needed to reserve a stay is based on availability, seasonality etc. We encourage Cardmembers to explore alternate dates, locations and properties to find award stays within the eligible range. Once issued, you will see your Free Night Award when you log in to your Marriott Bonvoy online account under the Account Activity Page, or by clicking the down-arrow next to your name and clicking on Activity. Your Free Night Award(s) will show In the Earned Awards section just under the menu bar.
To use your Free Night Award, enter your desired destination and travel dates and put a checkmark in the 'Use points/Awards' box and then click 'find hotels'. To find your annual reset date, go to the Points Summary page at the end of your American Express billing statement, under Marriott Bonvoy Awards. If you haven't made any purchases in the statement month, this page may not be included in your statement. Cardmembers will be enrolled in Gold Elite status for a minimum of 12-months from the time of the upgrade, if eligible. To maintain Gold status through spending $30,000 CAD, the spend requirement resets each year on your anniversary date.7
