1. You can earn 2 Membership Rewards® points (“points”) for every $1 in eligible consumer purchases at American Express retail merchants as follows: (i) at stand-alone automobile gasoline stations in Canada, (ii) at stand-alone drugstores in Canada, (iii) at stand-alone grocery stores in Canada, and (iv) for travel services or travel bookings including air, water, rail and road transport, lodging and tour operator sales but not including local and commuter transportation. Purchases at merchants where gas, grocery, pharmacy and travel sales are not their primary business (including superstores, wholesale clubs, alcohol retailers and general merchandise retailers) do not qualify for the earn rate in this category. Merchants are typically assigned codes and categorized based on what they sell. Earn rate of 1 point for every $1 applies if the merchant code is not in an eligible category, or is not made directly from the provider of the good or service, e.g. through a third party or by using a mobile device (e.g. smart phone) with an attached card reader. Provided your account is in good standing, points can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits. Interest charges, annual fees, other charges and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for Membership Rewards points.
2. Basic Cardmembers can earn one additional bonus Membership Rewards point for every dollar charged to your American Express Gold Rewards Card for eligible hotel and car rental bookings (less credits and adjustments) made through the American Express Travel website where American Express Travel (not the hotel or car rental company) is the merchant. Hotel bookings under The Hotel Collection program are not eligible for this bonus Membership Rewards points offer. The number of bonus Membership Rewards points is calculated by multiplying each eligible transaction by one subject to rounding. Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards Program apply. In order to redeem points for any travel booking, the Membership Rewards Program account must be active and the Card must be in good standing.
3. You can redeem Membership Rewards points for a statement credit towards an Eligible Purchase charged to an Eligible Card. All Eligible Purchases: 1,000 points = $10 statement credit. You must redeem a minimum of 1,000 points per redemption. Eligible Purchases include purchases made at American Express merchants and charged to an Eligible Card. Funds advances, fees, balance transfers, Amex cheques and charges for travellers cheques are not Eligible Purchases. American Express may make changes to the types of purchases that are eligible for redemption with Use Points for Purchases at any time without notice. Eligible Cards are Consumer and Small Business Cards enrolled in the Membership Rewards program. Statement credits on your Card Account should not exceed the aggregate amount of the Eligible Purchase(s) on your Eligible Card. You can register for Online Services to view your Eligible Purchases and to redeem online. Only Eligible Purchases posted to your Card Account during the last 3 months, up to 150 most recent Eligible Purchases, will be displayed for redemption. If you wish to redeem points towards an Eligible Purchase within the last 12 months that is not displayed online, please contact us at the number listed on the back of your Card.

4. Membership Rewards points are accepted as payment for a wide range of travel options through American Express Travel Services. Points can be used to pay for new travel purchases using the Flexible Points Travel Program or the Fixed Points Travel Program. 5. Air Canada Pay with Points: By participating in the Pay with Points program (the “Pay with Points Program”) using American Express Membership Rewards® (“MR Points”) when making an eligible purchase on the Canadian edition of AirCanada.com or the Air Canada mobile app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions for the Pay with Points Program for Air Canada (“Terms and Conditions”),. Eligible purchases include only those flight purchases made directly on the Canadian edition of AirCanada.com or the Air Canada mobile app. RBC travel insurance purchases are not eligible purchases for the Pay with Points Program. You agree that Amex Bank of Canada and its affiliates (collectively, “Amex”) may collect personal information from Air Canada and its affiliates (collectively, “Air Canada”) that you have provided and that is necessary to facilitate your transaction using Pay With Points for Air Canada. Amex may share information with Air Canada regarding your MR Points account for the sole purpose of managing and facilitating the Pay with Points Program using MR Points. This information sharing allows us to determine your card’s eligibility, and Amex may provide Air Canada with information about your MR Points account, including your total MR Points balance. We may also collect information that you have provided to Air Canada so that we can perform our functions with respect to the Pay with Points Program, including processing payments made with MR Points. Neither Air Canada nor Amex will use information provided to it by the other party in support of the Pay with Points Program for any purpose other than as expressly set forth in these Terms and Conditions.
An “Eligible Card” is a valid, Membership Rewards enrolled (a) American Express Consumer Card, (b) Business Card from American Express, or (c) American Express Corporate Card (“Corporate Card”), which must be issued in Canada by Amex. You will only be able to use MR Points if you are the primary account holder of the Eligible Card. In addition, the Eligible Card account must also be in good standing and not in default at the time of redemption. To participate, you must have an Eligible Card and have at least 1 point in your MR Points account.
To view your available MR Points balance, go to membershiprewards.ca. MR Point redemption rate will be calculated as determined by Amex and may vary for future purchases.
When you choose to use MR Points for an eligible purchase, and select “I accept, purchase”, Amex will debit the number of MR Points of your corresponding selection from the Membership Rewards account linked to the Eligible Card. You may select up to the total amount of MR Points required to cover the total purchase amount or up to the full value of your MR Points balance, whichever is less, to the nearest $.10. Furthermore, a statement credit in an amount equal to the dollar amount of your selection will be issued to the Eligible Card account. Please allow up to 2-4 days for the corresponding statement credit to be reflected on your Eligible Card account. If a statement credit is processed after your Eligible Card account’s billing period, it will appear on your next statement. Remember, the minimum amount due on your Eligible Card account must be paid by the due date.
If there is a processing error with your choice to use MR Points, your Eligible Card will be charged, and the corresponding statement credit will not be issued to the Eligible Card account for your transaction. In this event, if you would like to use MR Points for your transaction, please call the number on the back of your Eligible Card and Amex will be happy to assist you.
Certain transactions on AirCanada.com or the Air Canada app are not eligible for purchases using MR Points in the Pay with Points Program, and these may change at any time and without notice and at Amex’s discretion. If you do not have enough MR Points to pay for your eligible purchase, you can pay for the remainder with your Eligible Card. Your MR Points balance will typically be reduced to reflect the amount of your purchase at the time of your transaction, but in some cases it may not reflect your use of MR Points for pending purchase transactions until the purchase has been fulfilled. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have enough MR Points in your MR Points account at the time your MR Points are ultimately redeemed. If you do not have enough MR Points remaining in your MR Points account at the time they are to be redeemed, you will be required to authorize another payment method. Your Eligible Card will not be charged automatically. MR Points may not currently be combined with other rewards programs to make eligible purchases using your MR Points at AirCanada.com or the Air Canada app.
Returns are subject to Air Canada’s refund policy. If Air Canada accepts a return for a transaction you made using only MR Points, Air Canada will refund the corresponding dollar amount of the purchase to the Amex card account used. If Air Canada accepts a refund for a transaction you made using MR Points and another payment method, Air Canada may, in its sole discretion, credit the return to the other payment method before crediting the corresponding dollar amount of MR Points. Please allow 2-4 business days for the refund to appear on your statement. In neither case will the points you redeemed for the purchase be returned to you. If you no longer have an Eligible Card account, Air Canada may process your refund by providing you with an Air Canada gift card.
If you use a Corporate Card to make a purchase (whether alone or in conjunction with MR Points), you agree that you are using the Corporate Card in accordance with your company’s policy. In the event that a refund results in a credit to your Corporate Card instead of a return of MR Points, it is your sole responsibility to resolve this with your company and you agree to hold Air Canada and Amex harmless in respect of any loss you or the company may incur. Amex Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions apply and are available at membershiprewards.ca or at americanexpress.ca/corporateMRterms for Corporate Membership Rewards Program Owners. 8. $100 CAD Annual Travel Credit - The $100 CAD Annual Travel Credit can only be redeemed at time of booking through American Express Travel Online at americanexpress.ca/travel. Travel booking must be charged to your American Express® Gold Rewards Card. Account must be in good standing. If you choose to redeem the Travel Credit, it will be credited to your Card account within 2 business days. Basic Cardmember is entitled to one (1) Annual Travel Credit each year based on Card membership anniversary date, towards a single travel booking of $100 or more, and will appear on your billing statement as “$100 Annual Travel Credit”. The Annual Travel Credit must be redeemed within the same anniversary year it is issued, and it cannot be carried forward to any subsequent year. If you cancel your travel booking after redeeming the Annual Travel Credit, you will not be able to redeem it again in the same year. You can only redeem one Travel Credit per booking.
9. Priority PassTM - These Terms and Conditions govern Basic American Express Gold Rewards Card participation in and use of the Priority Pass program. Priority Pass is an independent airport lounge access program. All lounge visits are subject to a usage fee at the prevailing rate, which is subject to change without prior notice. This fee applies to the Cardmember and his/her guests. Some lounges do not admit guests. By enroling in Priority Pass, you agree that you will be responsible for all visit costs and that American Express Gold Rewards Card will be automatically charged after you have signed for the visit and it has been reported to Priority Pass by the participating lounge. Additionally, American Express will verify your Card account number and provide updated Card account information to Priority Pass. Priority Pass will use this information to fulfill on the Priority Pass program. Once your enrolment has been processed, Priority Pass will send you a welcome package, Priority Pass card and a list of participating lounges. For details on how Priority Pass uses your personal information, please refer to their privacy policy at prioritypass.com. Once enroled, American Express Gold Rewards Cardmembers whose Card account is not cancelled may access participating Priority Pass lounges by presenting their Priority Pass card and airline boarding pass for same-day travel. In some lounges, Priority Pass member must be 21 years of age to enter without a parent or guardian. Priority Pass members must adhere to all house rules of participating lounges. Amenities may vary among airport lounge locations. Conference rooms, where available, may be reserved for a nominal fee. Priority Pass lounge partners and locations are subject to change. All Priority Pass members must adhere to the Priority Pass Conditions of Use, which will be sent to you with your membership package and can be viewed at prioritypass.com. Upon receipt of your enrolment information, Priority Pass will send your Priority Pass card and membership package which you should receive within 10–14 business days. If you have not received the Priority Pass card after 14 business days, please contact Card Services using the number on the back of your American Express Gold Rewards Card. Please note, Supplementary American Express Gold Rewards Cardmembers are not eligible for membership. Priority Pass non-lounge airport experiences such as airport dining credits are only offered in a few select locations. Select locations are subject to change. 10. Plaza Premium Lounges – Basic American Express® Gold Rewards Cardmembers are eligible for four (4) complimentary visits per calendar year to Canadian Plaza Premium Lounges. Cardmembers can apply complimentary visits towards accompanying guest visits. After your four (4) complimentary visits have been used, you may visit for a usage fee at the prevailing rate, which is subject to change without prior notice. To access a lounge, American Express Gold Rewards Cardmembers must show a valid, unexpired eligible American Express Gold Rewards Card, confirmed boarding pass for same-day travel and government-issued photo identification in the name of the American Express Gold Rewards Cardmember/guest(s). Maximum of 2-hour stay. House rules, terms and conditions apply. Lounge access is subject to availability. Unless otherwise stated, lounge access cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or benefit and is subject to change or cancellation at any time. Lounge locations may change from time to time. Supplementary Gold Rewards Cardmembers are not eligible for complimentary access, unless accompanying a Basic Gold Rewards Cardmember as one of their guests. 11. Effective October 18, 2021, American Express® Gold Rewards Cardmembers are eligible to receive a $50 CAD statement credit every four (4) years for the application or renewal fee for the NEXUS program when charged to an eligible Card. Only one statement credit per account per four (4) year period may be issued, regardless of whether the NEXUS fee is charged on the Basic or Supplementary Card. American Express will not provide a statement credit for subsequent NEXUS application or renewal fees charged to the same eligible Card within the same four (4) year period even if the original application is rejected. For existing Cardmembers as of October 18, 2021, the first four (4) year period runs from October 18, 2021 until October 17, 2025. For new Cardmembers after October 18, 2021, the first four (4) year period runs from the initial Card anniversary date until the day before the fourth (4th) Card anniversary date. In either case, each subsequent four (4) year period follows the period that immediately preceded it. American Express has no control over the application and/or approval process for the NEXUS program and does not have access to any information provided to the government by the Cardmember or by the government to the Cardmember. American Express has no liability regarding the NEXUS program. American Express and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) are separate and independent legal entities, neither of which is endorsing the other. The NEXUS program is run by CBSA and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection independently (without administration by American Express). For additional information on the NEXUS program, please visit cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/prog/nexus/term-eng.html. The NEXUS program is subject to change, and American Express has no control over those changes.
Please allow up to 8 weeks after the qualifying NEXUS transaction is charged to the eligible Card account for the statement credit to be posted to the Card account. American Express relies on accurate transaction data to identify eligible NEXUS purchases. If you do not see a credit for a qualifying purchase on your eligible Card after 8 weeks, simply call the number on the back of your Card. Cardmembers are responsible for payment of all application charges until the statement credit posts to the Card account. To be eligible for this benefit, Card account(s) must be active and not in default at the time of statement credit fulfillment.

12. The Hotel Collection Terms and Conditions
Valid at participating hotels for new bookings of at least two consecutive nights made through Platinum Card Travel Service, Personalized Travel Service, Centurion Travel, americanexpress.ca/travel or americanexpress.ca/thc. Payment must be made in full with an eligible American Express Card in the Canadian Platinum, Canadian Gold Rewards, Canadian Cobalt, Canadian Business Platinum, Canadian Business Gold Rewards, or Canadian Centurion Cardmember’s name at time of checkout. The Platinum, Gold Rewards, Cobalt, Business Platinum, Business Gold Rewards, or Centurion Cardmember must travel on the itinerary booked. (1) The Cardmember will receive the $100 USD credit as deduction from the final hotel bill when checking out of the hotel; $100 USD. Amenities vary by property and facilities available. To receive the credit, the eligible spend must be charged to your hotel room and the credit will be applied at check-out. Charges must be charged to the room and exclude charges for taxes, gratuities, fees and cost of room. Additional exclusions based on specific hotel restriction may also apply including without limitation purchases within the hotel that are unaffiliated and/or owned by third parties - see hotel front desk for details. Credit must be used in conjunction with initial stay and cannot be carried over to another stay. Offer is not redeemable for cash and expires at check-out. Credit is non-exchangeable and non-refundable and is applied in USD or equivalent in local currency based on exchange rate on day of arrival. One car class upgrade is available on standard vehicles only, excluding Hertz Collections (Vans, and all Collection cars, Green/Fun/Prestige/Family/Dream/Supercar vehicles), on rentals of five consecutive days or more and is applicable in all participating destinations excluding Japan and is subject to availability. 15. Eligible cards will vary by offer and are subject to change. 16. Referral Program Terms: Your account must be in good standing. If this is a referral in the context of your business, you agree to only make recommendations to business contacts whom you know and have consented to receive this recommendation from you. You must not send recommendations to people you do not know. Whenever you reach out to a potential referral, you will only use content we provide. Any additional statements you make cannot be inconsistent with our content and must be truthful, accurate and not misleading. You should not publish or distribute your referral link in locations where the audience is likely to include individuals with whom you do not have a business, personal or family relationship or who may not be interested in the offer. We encourage fair usage of this referral program and so we limit the number of people who can apply using your referral link, in any 30-day period. You can only receive a maximum referral bonus of 112,500 per calendar year for approved referrals, which includes eligible referral bonus amounts from both (i) special or limited time referral offers and (ii) regular referral offers in that same calendar year. American Express reserves the right to limit, cancel, or revoke a referral or welcome bonus if it determines, in its sole discretion, you have violated these Terms. 17. Account must be in good standing. An additional Card is a Supplementary Card. No annual fee for one Supplementary Gold Rewards Card. Each Supplementary Card added thereafter $50 annually. Supplementary Cardmembers must be at least 13 years old. Maximum of 9 Supplementary Cards per account.

You can earn 2 Membership Rewards points (“points”) for every $1 in eligible consumer purchases at American Express retail merchants as follows: (i) at stand-alone automobile gasoline stations in Canada, (ii) at stand-alone drugstores in Canada, (iii) at stand-alone grocery stores in Canada, and (iv) for travel services or travel bookings including air, water, rail and road transport, lodging and tour operator sales but not including local and commuter transportation. Purchases at merchants where gas, grocery, pharmacy and travel sales are not their primary business (including superstores, wholesale clubs, alcohol retailers and general merchandise retailers) do not qualify for the earn rate in this category. Merchants are typically assigned codes and categorized based on what they sell. Earn rate of 1 point for every $1 applies if the merchant code is not in an eligible category, or is not made directly from the provider of the good or service, e.g. through a third party or by using a mobile device (e.g. smart phone) with an attached card reader. Provided your account is in good standing, points can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits Interest charges, annual fees, other charges and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for Membership Rewards points.

Basic Cardmembers can earn one additional bonus Membership Rewards point for every dollar charged to your American Express Gold Rewards Card for eligible hotel and car rental bookings (less credits and adjustments) made through the American Express Travel website where American Express Travel (not the hotel or car rental company) is the merchant. Hotel bookings under The Hotel Collection program are not eligible for this bonus Membership Rewards points offer. The number of bonus Membership Rewards points is calculated by multiplying each eligible transaction by one subject to rounding. Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards Program apply. In order to redeem points for any travel booking, the Membership Rewards Program account must be active and the Card must be in good standing.

Air Canada Pay with Points: By participating in the Pay with Points program (the “Pay with Points Program”) using American Express Membership Rewards® (“MR Points”) when making an eligible purchase on the Canadian edition of AirCanada.com or the Air Canada mobile app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions for the Pay with Points Program for Air Canada (“Terms and Conditions”),. Eligible purchases include only those flight purchases made directly on the Canadian edition of AirCanada.com or the Air Canada mobile app. RBC travel insurance purchases are not eligible purchases for the Pay with Points Program. You agree that Amex Bank of Canada and its affiliates (collectively, “Amex”) may collect personal information from Air Canada and its affiliates (collectively, “Air Canada”) that you have provided and that is necessary to facilitate your transaction using Pay With Points for Air Canada. Amex may share information with Air Canada regarding your MR Points account for the sole purpose of managing and facilitating the Pay with Points Program using MR Points. This information sharing allows us to determine your card’s eligibility, and Amex may provide Air Canada with information about your MR Points account, including your total MR Points balance. We may also collect information that you have provided to Air Canada so that we can perform our functions with respect to the Pay with Points Program, including processing payments made with MR Points. Neither Air Canada nor Amex will use information provided to it by the other party in support of the Pay with Points Program for any purpose other than as expressly set forth in these Terms and Conditions.
An “Eligible Card” is a valid, Membership Rewards enrolled (a) American Express Consumer Card, (b) Business Card from American Express, or (c) American Express Corporate Card (“Corporate Card”), which must be issued in Canada by Amex. You will only be able to use MR Points if you are the primary account holder of the Eligible Card. In addition, the Eligible Card account must also be in good standing and not in default at the time of redemption. To participate, you must have an Eligible Card and have at least 1 point in your MR Points account.
To view your available MR Points balance, go to membershiprewards.ca. MR Point redemption rate will be calculated as determined by Amex and may vary for future purchases.
When you choose to use MR Points for an eligible purchase, and select “I accept, purchase”, Amex will debit the number of MR Points of your corresponding selection from the Membership Rewards account linked to the Eligible Card. You may select up to the total amount of MR Points required to cover the total purchase amount or up to the full value of your MR Points balance, whichever is less, to the nearest $.10. Furthermore, a statement credit in an amount equal to the dollar amount of your selection will be issued to the Eligible Card account. Please allow up to 2-4 days for the corresponding statement credit to be reflected on your Eligible Card account. If a statement credit is processed after your Eligible Card account’s billing period, it will appear on your next statement. Remember, the minimum amount due on your Eligible Card account must be paid by the due date.
If there is a processing error with your choice to use MR Points, your Eligible Card will be charged, and the corresponding statement credit will not be issued to the Eligible Card account for your transaction. In this event, if you would like to use MR Points for your transaction, please call the number on the back of your Eligible Card and Amex will be happy to assist you.
Certain transactions on AirCanada.com or the Air Canada app are not eligible for purchases using MR Points in the Pay with Points Program, and these may change at any time and without notice and at Amex’s discretion. If you do not have enough MR Points to pay for your eligible purchase, you can pay for the remainder with your Eligible Card. Your MR Points balance will typically be reduced to reflect the amount of your purchase at the time of your transaction, but in some cases it may not reflect your use of MR Points for pending purchase transactions until the purchase has been fulfilled. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have enough MR Points in your MR Points account at the time your MR Points are ultimately redeemed. If you do not have enough MR Points remaining in your MR Points account at the time they are to be redeemed, you will be required to authorize another payment method. Your Eligible Card will not be charged automatically. MR Points may not currently be combined with other rewards programs to make eligible purchases using your MR Points at AirCanada.com or the Air Canada app.
Returns are subject to Air Canada’s refund policy. If Air Canada accepts a return for a transaction you made using only MR Points, Air Canada will refund the corresponding dollar amount of the purchase to the Amex card account used. If Air Canada accepts a refund for a transaction you made using MR Points and another payment method, Air Canada may, in its sole discretion, credit the return to the other payment method before crediting the corresponding dollar amount of MR Points. Please allow 2-4 business days for the refund to appear on your statement. In neither case will the points you redeemed for the purchase be returned to you. If you no longer have an Eligible Card account, Air Canada may process your refund by providing you with an Air Canada gift card.
If you use a Corporate Card to make a purchase (whether alone or in conjunction with MR Points), you agree that you are using the Corporate Card in accordance with your company’s policy. In the event that a refund results in a credit to your Corporate Card instead of a return of MR Points, it is your sole responsibility to resolve this with your company and you agree to hold Air Canada and Amex harmless in respect of any loss you or the company may incur.

Funds advances, fees, balance transfers, Amex cheques and charges for travellers cheques are not Eligible Purchases. Merchandise Availability: All merchandise rewards are subject to availability. If an order is not available, a similar item of equal value or greater will be substituted whenever possible. Delivery Information: Orders will be processed within 2 business days. If the value of the Gift Card, Prepaid Card or Certificate is less than $200, it will be delivered by Canada Post which could take up to one week for delivery. If the reward value is greater than $200 but less than $500, it will be delivered by Priority Post within 3-5 business days. If the reward value is $500 or more, it will be delivered by Priority Post within 3-5 business days and will require a signature upon delivery. If you are not available at home at the time of delivery, directions to the nearest postal location will be left at your door. Rewards that are not in stock may take additional time to deliver.
9. 1. $100 CAD Annual Travel Credit - The $100 CAD Annual Travel Credit can only be redeemed at time of booking through American Express Travel Online at americanexpress.ca/travel. Travel booking must be charged to your American Express® Gold Rewards Card. Account must be in good standing. If you choose to redeem the Travel Credit, it will be credited to your Card account within 2 business days. Basic Cardmember is entitled to one (1) Annual Travel Credit each year based on Card membership anniversary date, towards a single travel booking of $100 or more, and will appear on your billing statement as “$100 Annual Travel Credit”. The Annual Travel Credit must be redeemed within the same anniversary year it is issued, and it cannot be carried forward to any subsequent year. If you cancel your travel booking after redeeming the Annual Travel Credit, you will not be able to redeem it again in the same year. You can only redeem one Travel Credit per booking.
2. Priority PassTM - These Terms and Conditions govern Basic American Express Gold Rewards Card participation in and use of the Priority Pass program. Priority Pass is an independent airport lounge access program. All lounge visits are subject to a usage fee at the prevailing rate, which is subject to change without prior notice. This fee applies to the Cardmember and his/her guests. Some lounges do not admit guests. By enroling in Priority Pass, you agree that you will be responsible for all visit costs and that American Express Gold Rewards Card will be automatically charged after you have signed for the visit and it has been reported to Priority Pass by the participating lounge. Additionally, American Express will verify your Card account number and provide updated Card account information to Priority Pass. Priority Pass will use this information to fulfill on the Priority Pass program. Once your enrolment has been processed, Priority Pass will send you a welcome package, Priority Pass card and a list of participating lounges. After your four (4) complimentary visits have been used, you may visit for a usage fee at the prevailing rate, which is subject to change without prior notice. Effective October 18, 2021, American Express® Gold Rewards Cardmembers are eligible to receive a $50 CAD statement credit every four (4) years for the application or renewal fee for the NEXUS program when charged to an eligible Card. Only one statement credit per account per four (4) year period may be issued, regardless of whether the NEXUS fee is charged on the Basic or Supplementary Card. American Express will not provide a statement credit for subsequent NEXUS application or renewal fees charged to the same eligible Card within the same four (4) year period even if the original application is rejected. For existing Cardmembers as of October 18, 2021, the first four (4) year period runs from October 18, 2021 until October 17, 2025. For new Cardmembers after October 18, 2021, the first four (4) year period runs from the initial Card anniversary date until the day before the fourth (4th) Card anniversary date. In either case, each subsequent four (4) year period follows the period that immediately preceded it. Please allow up to 8 weeks after the qualifying NEXUS transaction is charged to the eligible Card account for the statement credit to be posted to the Card account. American Express relies on accurate transaction data to identify eligible NEXUS purchases. If you do not see a credit for a qualifying purchase on your eligible Card after 8 weeks, simply call the number on the back of your Card. Cardmembers are responsible for payment of all application charges until the statement credit posts to the Card account. To be eligible for this benefit, Card account(s) must be active and not in default at the time of statement credit fulfillment.

5. Basic Cardmembers can earn one additional bonus Membership Rewards point for every dollar charged to your American Express Gold Rewards Card for eligible hotel and car rental bookings (less credits and adjustments) made through the American Express Travel website where American Express Travel (not the hotel or car rental company) is the merchant. Hotel bookings under The Hotel Collection program are not eligible for this bonus Membership Rewards points offer. The number of bonus Membership Rewards points is calculated by multiplying each eligible transaction by one subject to rounding. Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards Program apply. In order to redeem points for any travel booking, the Membership Rewards Program account must be active and the Card must be in good standing.
6. The Hotel Collection Terms and Conditions
Valid at participating hotels for new bookings of at least two consecutive nights made through Platinum Card Travel Service, Personalized Travel Service, Centurion Travel, americanexpress.ca/travel or americanexpress.ca/thc. Payment must be made in full with an eligible American Express Card in the Canadian Platinum, Canadian Gold Rewards, Canadian Cobalt, Canadian Business Platinum, Canadian Business Gold Rewards, or Canadian Centurion Cardmember’s name at time of checkout. The Platinum, Gold Rewards, Cobalt, Business Platinum, Business Gold Rewards, or Centurion Cardmember must travel on the itinerary booked. (1) The Cardmember will receive the $100 USD credit as deduction from the final hotel bill when checking out of the hotel; $100 USD. Amenities vary by property and facilities available. To receive the credit, the eligible spend must be charged to your hotel room and the credit will be applied at check-out. Charges must be charged to the room and exclude charges for taxes, gratuities, fees and cost of room. Additional exclusions based on specific hotel restriction may also apply including without limitation purchases within the hotel that are unaffiliated and/or owned by third parties - see hotel front desk for details.
