Program Terms
The offer is governed by and subject to these Program Terms, and offer specific terms (Terms). By registering for the offer, you agree to the Terms.

Register your eligible card and spend on the registered card during the offer period in accordance with the offer description which may include a minimum spend requirement. The offer description and offer specific terms are displayed when you register. You are responsible for ensuring that you correctly enter the card number on the registration page (if applicable). After you register, you can continue to access the offer description and offer specific terms until the end of the offer period as follows:
- by going to the Amex offers section in your Online Services account or the American Express® App; or
- by re-visiting the email (as applicable) or the offer registration page
B. Eligible Cards and Language Selection
Eligible cards will vary by offer and are subject to change. Select Canadian American Express Cards issued by Amex Bank of Canada or another participating American Express card issuer other than Amex Bank of Canada (as applicable) are eligible cards for the offer. The following cards are not eligible: American Express Corporate Cards, American Express® Gift Cards and Prepaid Cards.
In the event that you replace your registered card through Amex Bank of Canada or other participating card issuer (as applicable) during the offer period, your participation in the offer with end and you will need to re-register for the offer.
You can select to read the offer in either English or French. By selecting the different language, your selection will only temporarily change for the remainder of the offer campaign and will not permanently change your preferred language of communication with Amex Bank of Canada or other participating card issuer's card agreement.
C. Transactions that are not Eligible
Only purchase transactions on your registered card during the offer period are considered qualifying purchases for purposes of the offer.
The following transactions do not qualify for the offer:
- transactions processed manually or using a paper based process (for example, transactions processed using a credit card imprinter);
- purchasing a merchant’s goods through a third party, such as through concession stores in department stores, payment account or service of a third party, a card reader attached to a mobile phone, online aggregators that sells goods of other merchants or if the merchant category is otherwise not identified (unless expressly stated otherwise in the offer);
- transactions where the merchant does not pass on the information we need to process it properly within the offer period (for example, when their payment systems are down and they cannot process the transaction electronically);
- transactions where you buy a gift card, store credit or a voucher; and
- transactions that are subsequently refunded or cancelled (for example; returned items)
D. Statement Credit or Bonus Points (as applicable)
- Rewarded statement credit and bonus points (as applicable) will be reversed if the qualifying purchase is refunded or cancelled.
- It may take up to 90 days for a statement credit to be credited to the registered card account, and up to 120 days for bonus points to be posted to the applicable loyalty account.
- American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from the merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by the merchant.
- The offer will not apply if your registered card account is suspended or cancelled prior to a statement credit and bonus points (as applicable) being issued.
Statement credit and bonus points (as applicable) will be applied as follows: In the case of a statement credit, it will be credited to your registered card account. In the case of bonus points, they will be posted to the applicable loyalty program account, and are not redeemable for cash or other payment form. If you do not meet the minimum spend requirement (for any reason) or if you do not comply with the Terms, you will not be entitled to a statement credit or bonus points (as applicable).
We reserve the right to substitute any statement credit(s) or bonus points (as applicable) that you may be eligible for (in whole or in part) for any reason with a good will offer of equal or greater value.
All references to dollars in the Terms are in Canadian dollars. Statement credits (as applicable) are applied to your registered card account in Canadian dollars.
For bonus point offers, you must be enrolled in the applicable loyalty program and have an active account to receive the points.
Your account must be in good standing to be eligible to participate in the offer. You must continue to make all payments to your Basic/Primary card account in accordance with your registered card Cardmember agreement and billing statement. If you don’t, this may affect your eligibility to participate in the offer and your participation in the offer may be cancelled.
We use your personal information such as account number and transaction information to manage your participation in the offer and track your spend. If you have enabled locations services on our website or on your device in the American Express App (if applicable) and shared your location with American Express, you will be shown nearby participating locations.
For cards issued by Amex Bank of Canada, we may communicate to you by email if you provide us with your email and may otherwise use your information, including for marketing and servicing purposes related to the offer. We use your personal information in accordance with the American Express Online Privacy Statement. For cards issued by another participating American Express card issuer, we will use your personal information for purposes of fulfilling. Please refer to your other card issuer’s privacy notice for information about their privacy practices and how they use your personal information.
From time to time, you may not be able to register for an offer or participate in an offer for reasons such as performance degradation, service interruption, delays and any problems with your internet connection or device. We do not accept any liability if you cannot register your card, cannot participate in an offer or if access to the offer pages is unavailable, interrupted or suspended for any reason. If you cannot register your card, cannot participate in an offer or access the offer pages, your only remedy is to try and access it again later. If you have any problems with your registration, please contact the customer service number on the back of the eligible card you wish to register.
American Express reserves the right to suspend or cancel the offer if any fraud or gaming by users, technical failure or any other factors outside our control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the offer which may result in any loss or damage to American Express. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any such incident and take reasonable steps to ensure you are not unfairly impacted if the incident is due to something we have done or failed to do.
American Express reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual suspected of fraud, gaming the offer or any breach of the Terms.
American Express reserves the right to vary any eligibility criteria or the Terms prior to you registering for the offer. If you have not yet registered your card for the offer and you have multiple American Express cards, your eligibility may change so that the offer only applies to the card that has the higher spend. If you do not agree with the Terms, you must not participate in the offer.
