Frequently Asked Questions
Amex Offers is a program that provides offers to eligible Cardmembers for either a statement credit or bonus points, on shopping, dining and more. You can choose the offers you want and you can earn either a statement credit or bonus points, as applicable.
Amex Offers is available on your americanexpress.ca account or within the Amex® Mobile app for your device. Simply register your Card for the offers you want, then use your registered Card to make qualifying purchases during the offer period. You could earn either a statement credit or bonus points, as applicable.
Eligible Cards: Eligible Cards may vary from offer to offer, so you’ll need to check the Offer Terms.
Not Eligible: American Express® Corporate Cards, American Express® Gift Cards and Prepaid Cards are not eligible to participate. Please see offer specific terms and Program Terms for more information.
If you have an American Express Card issued by Amex Bank of Canada, you can:
- Log into your account on americanexpress.ca and scroll down to the bottom of the “Home” tab to view eligible Offers. If you don’t have an online account, you can create one by following the instructions here . Once you create your account, available offers will appear on the “Home” tab once you log in.
- Download the Amex Mobile app on your device and log in with the same information you use for your account on americanexpress.ca. To find offers, tap the “Offers” button located at the bottom of the screen.
No, additional Cardmembers cannot enroll for Amex Offers at this time.
If you have a Card issued by Amex Bank of Canada, you can call us at the number on the back of your Card to speak to one of our Customer Care Professionals.
There are several different ways you can find and register your Card for Amex Offers.
Access Amex Offers through your americanexpress.ca account:
- Online: Log into your account online at americanexpress.ca and scroll down to the bottom of the “Home” tab where you will see the Amex Offers section. Then, select the offer you want and register your Card for the offer.
- Mobile: Download the Amex Mobile app on your device and visit the “Offers” section of the app. Select the offer you want and tap “Register your Card.”
Please note: Enrollment in Offers may be limited. Offers may not be available after enrollment limits are met. Unless otherwise disclosed in individual Offer Terms, enrollment will be available until applicable enrollment limits are met and/or until 11:59 pm MST on the day the Offer expires.
In order to take advantage of the offer, you must make a qualifying purchase(s) using the registered Card during the offer period. Although you need to register your Card to Offers, there are some offers that may require you to use a promo code at checkout or to follow a link to a merchant's website.
In the event that you replace your registered card through Amex Bank of Canada or a licensed third party issuer (as applicable) during the offer period, your participation in the offer will end and you will need to re-register for the offer.
If your Card Account is cancelled during the offer period, your participation in the offer will end and you will not receive the statement credit or bonus points even if you met all the spend requirements.
If you make a qualifying purchase(s) as indicated in the offer terms:
Statement credit or bonus points will be applied to your registered card account or your eligible loyalty program account (as applicable) within 90 days after the offer end date.
If you don’t see the statement credit or bonus points (whichever is applicable) within these time periods, check to make sure you’ve done all of the following:
- Registered your eligible American Express Card for the offer before making your purchase(s) at the merchant
- Made the purchase(s) with the same American Express Card registered for the offer
- Met the purchase requirements (purchase amount or number of purchases) required in the offer terms to receive the offer
- Made your purchase(s) before the offer expired
- Made the purchase(s) at an eligible location (online, in-store, participating location, etc.)
- Have not returned or cancelled your purchase
If you have done all of the above and still don’t see the statement credit or bonus points (whichever is applicable) 90 days after the end of the offer period, please call the number on the back of your Card to speak to a Customer Care Professional.
If you make a purchase and return the merchandise, we reserve the right to reverse the statement credit or bonus points. If the statement credit or bonus points have been reversed and the offer has not expired, you can still take advantage of the offer if you make another qualifying purchase and meet the offer terms.
No. In order to get the statement credit or bonus points (as applicable), you must make the qualifying purchase using the Card you registered for the offer.
No. You must first register your Card and then make your qualifying purchase using the same Card to receive the statement credit or bonus points (as applicable).
All offer terms will state the purchase requirements. Some Amex Offers require a single purchase, while others require a minimum total amount spent (one or more transactions). All offers are subject to the stated offer terms. Please read them carefully. If you have questions, please call the number on the back of your Card.
If you have not yet registered your Card for the offer and you have multiple American Express cards, your eligibility may change so that the offer only applies to the card that has the higher spend. You can check the offers currently available on your Card by logging in to your Online Services account or the Amex App.
