Hear how Joshua Nicholls, at 22, capitalised on a gap in the electricians’ market and built an empire off the back of exceptional service and referrals.
“I was doing everything I could to WOW our customers, without even realising that it was a business or marketing strategy.”
In December 2001, Joshua Nicholls set out to create an electrical business that enabled him to keep off the tools. In just a few short years, Platinum Electricians quickly surpassed that goal and became one of Australia’s fastest growing franchise groups.
Fast forward to the present and Josh has 48 franchisees across Australia employing over 350 people and is on target to turn over $60 million this year.
The company continues to experience exponential growth, however what excites him the most is the humanitarian impact they’re making through their Platinum Foundation.
In this podcast, Josh (who also runs an Italian cycling tour business on the side) provides an honest account of his experience building Platinum Electricians including the ups and downs, and what keeps him motivated.
