Activate your Card and register for an Online

If you’ve already been using your Card to make purchases, then it’s likely that you’ve completed
Card activation and registered for an Online Services Account. An Online Services Account lets you:

points balance (if eligible and enrolled)
Turn on Card alerts for balance

Enrol in your Membership benefits
As an American Express Business Card Member, you can enjoy perks like Membership Rewards points, Amex Offers,
and more. Depending on your Card type, you may have to enrol in your Card’s designated rewards program first.
Business and Gold Business Cards
If you have an American Express® Business or Gold Business Card, to enrol in the Membership Rewards program to start earning points1. To enrol in the Membership Rewards program: Call 1300 362 639 7.30am-7pm (AEST), Monday to Friday
Platinum Business Cards
If you’re a Platinum Business Card Member, enrolment in the Membership Rewards program is complimentary. However, you’ll still need to enrol in your Platinum benefits, including premium hotel perks, digital Australian Financial Review subscription, and more.
Qantas and Velocity Business Cards
If you have an American Express Card in partnership with one of our Airline Partners, you’ll be automatically enrolled in the associated Airline Partner program and earn Qantas or Velocity Points on every dollar you spend. Your points will then be automatically credited to your nominated Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards Account.
Business Explorer and Business Accelerator Cards
If you’re a Business Explorer or Business Accelerator Card Member, enrolment in the Membership Rewards program is automatic.

The American Express Mobile App lets you manage your Account from the palm of your hand and make savings on the go.
The American Express Mobile App4 is a convenient way to view your transactions, track your Membership Rewards points balance (if enrolled)1, check your spending power for large purchases, and save with Amex Offers3.
Link your Card to your mobile wallet
Mobile payments are a simple and secure way to make payments on your Card using your phone’s mobile wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay)5.

Other important information
Paying your bill
To avoid incurring any charges, it’s important to familiarise yourself with the number of cash flow days available on your Card and methods of paying your bill.
Emergency Card Replacement
If your Card is lost or stolen, you can usually receive a free replacement within 24 hours, or instantly if your Card is linked to your mobile wallet6. Simply call 1300 558 891.
Your Card Terms and Conditions
Depending on the Business Card you hold and the rewards program you’re enrolled in, different Terms and Conditions will apply. Be sure to familiarise yourself with them.

1. Membership Rewards: Membership Rewards enrolment required (an annual fee may apply). Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program available here. There may be tax implications associated with participation in the Membership Rewards program. You are advised to check with your accountant or tax adviser for further information.
2. Online Statements: By agreeing to receive statements online, you must register for Online Services and understand you will not receive paper statements by mail. You must check your nominated email address regularly as you will be notified at your nominated email address when your online statement is available to view. You can elect to change this nomination or your email address at any time by changing your preferences in your Online Services Account.
3. AMEX Offers: The following are not Eligible Cards: Business Cards that are affiliated with a wholesale partner, American Express Business Travel Accounts, Government Cards, Corporate Purchasing Cards, Corporate Meeting Cards, Corporate Cards and the David Jones Storecard.

6. Emergency Card Replacement: If your Card is lost or stolen, you must report it immediately. You can call American Express 24 hours a day. In Australia, call us on 1300 362 639. If you are overseas, report your lost or stolen Card to the nearest American Express Travel Service or Representative Office. Once you have notified us, you are not liable for any unauthorised charges.
