The Membership Rewards® program
If your Company has chosen to participate in the Membership Rewards program, as an American Express Qantas Corporate Platinum Card Member, you are automatically enrolled in the Membership Rewards Spirit program and can earn points on all spend.¹

1. Membership Rewards Spirit program: Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program. Your Company must allow participation in Membership Rewards. An annual fee applies but is waived for American Express Qantas Corporate Platinum Card Members. You will earn 2 Membership Rewards Points per AUD$1 spent: on the following Qantas Products and Services purchased on the Qantas merchant Account (i.e. directly from Qantas): Qantas passenger flights (with a QF flight number); Qantas Holidays; Qantas branded non-airfare products; and Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Club membership joining and annual fees (Excludes Jetstar). You will earn 2 points for every AUD $1 spent: on foreign currency overseas and overseas online payments; restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia, excluding catering; airfares for scheduled flights purchased directly from the airline, excluding chartered and private jet flights and on hotel stays purchased directly from the hotel. Spend may be ineligible for the above earn rate if the merchant is not in an Eligible Category, including where; the merchant is using a payment account or service of a third party (such as a payment aggregator, intermediary platform or online travel agent), a card reader attached to a mobile phone, or is an online retailer that sells goods of other merchants or where the merchant category is otherwise not identified. Merchants are typically categorized based on what they primarily sell. Eligible Categories includes Foreign Currency, Restaurants, Airlines and Lodging spend. Restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia category does not include catering and Airline category does not include chartered and private jet flights. American Express reserves the right to change eligible categories, that earn points at an accelerated rate with 30 days prior notice. You will earn 1.5 points for every $1 spent on all other spend, except government spend where you will earn 1 point for every $1 spent. Merchants classified as “government” includes but is not limited to the Australian Taxation Office, the Australian Postal Corporation, Federal/State and Local government bodies. An industry-specific earn rate may apply if you use a payment account, payment aggregator, services of a third party or online retailers that sell goods for another merchant. There may be tax implications associated with participation in the Membership Rewards program. You are advised to check with your accountant or tax adviser for further information. You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn and redeem Qantas Points. The redemption of Qantas Points is subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions available at qantas.com/terms. A joining fee may apply.
2. Triple Qantas Points on flights for your business: Triple Qantas Points on flights for your business: A business must be a Qantas Business Rewards Member to earn triple Qantas Points for business. The triple Qantas Points for business are only available for American Express Qantas Card Members when the Card is used to make an eligible Qantas flight booking. Qantas will allocate to the business an amount equal to the Qantas Points earned by the traveller when travelling for business against a rate of either: 20% (Level 1); or 30% (Level 2); or 40% (Level 3) multiplied by three. An eligible flight means a domestic or international flight which has a Qantas 'QF' flight number on the ticket that is purchased in Australia; is operated by Qantas, Emirates or American Airlines; has a ticket number commencing with '081'; and is booked and travelled for business on or after the date the business registers for Qantas Business Rewards. Exclusions apply. Triple Qantas Points for Business is not available in conjunction with any other rebate, Corporate Fares Agreement or discount arrangement with Qantas. A Member's ABN and traveller's Qantas Frequent Flyer number must be quoted at the time of booking to earn Qantas Points for both the business and the traveller. The maximum number of Qantas Points that can be earned from flying by a business with the American Express Qantas Corporate Card is 4,000,000 per membership year as per the Triple Qantas Points for business benefit terms.
3. There is no expiry on points as long as the Card Account is active, enrolled in Membership Rewards program and is kept in good standing and not overdue.
4. Points transfer. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program. To transfer Membership Rewards points into a Frequent Guest Partner Program you must be a member of the Partner Program. Membership of the Partner Program is the Card Member’s responsibility and is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the applicable Program. A joining fee may apply.
5. A business can redeem Qantas Points directly from their Qantas Business Rewards account on Classic Flight Rewards or Points Plus Pay flights, paid seat selection and additional baggage allowance (when purchased at time of flight booking), and/or transfer Qantas Points out of the Qantas Business Rewards accounts into any individual’s Qantas Frequent Flyer account. In order to transfer or directly redeem Qantas Points from a Qantas Business Rewards account, the business account must have a balance of at least 3,000 Qantas Points. You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn, transfer and redeem Qantas Points as an individual. A joining fee may apply. Membership and Qantas Points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions. We recommend you consult your accountant or tax adviser to ensure you understand possible tax implications, for example fringe benefits tax (if applicable).
6. David Jones. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program available here and the David Jones Partner Terms and Conditions available at DAVIDJONES.COM.AU. Only American Express Cards issued by American Express Australia Limited are eligible provided they are enrolled in the Membership Rewards program. Minimum redemption amounts apply. If redeeming with Points + Pay, the ‘pay’ component of your purchase will be automatically billed to your American Express Card Account and will appear on the first billing statement following redemption. You’ll earn Membership Rewards points on the ‘pay’ component of your purchase only.
7. Gift Card or voucher rewards are not redeemable or exchangeable for cash or credit and are valid for a period of minimum 3 years from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. We are not responsible if any Gift Card is lost, stolen, or destroyed, or the Gift Card is used without your permission. Membership Reward terms and conditions apply. Normal retailer gift card or voucher conditions apply, refer to the gift card or retailer website for details.
8. Points for Credit. Points may be redeemed by the Basic Cardmember for a credit on the Primary Card Account (the Card which your Membership Rewards points balance appears online). American Express may decline a Points for Credit request where the Card Account or Cardmember’s other accounts with American Express are not in good standing. The redemption of Points for Credit will be administered solely by American Express within 3 business days and cannot be reversed. Redeeming Points for Credit is not redeemable for cash via Credit balance refund.
9. Cover your charges with Points: This is available to primary Card Members enrolled in the Membership Rewards program. A minimum of 1,000 Membership Rewards points must be redeemed at any one time. Any credit to your Card Account cannot exceed the amount of the relevant eligible charges or the current outstanding balance on your Account. Certain fees and charges are excluded. Points will be debited immediately and the credit can take up to 72 hours to appear online. Credits processed after the Card Account’s statement closing date will appear in the following statement. You are still responsible for payment of the amount due on your Card Account by the due date. Subject to the Membership Rewards Terms & Conditions.
10. Company Business Rewards Benefits: A business must be a Qantas Business Rewards Program member to be eligible for the Member Savings. Savings are available exclusively to Qantas Business Rewards members off the base fare of selected fares only and do not apply to taxes, fees and carrier charges. Availability is limited. Member Deals are subject to the Qantas Business Rewards Terms and Conditions. A one-off joining fee of $89.50 usually applies, however this will be waived for any business that has an existing American Express Qantas Corporate Card. A Member's ABN and traveller's Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number must be quoted at the time of booking to be eligible for Member Savings.

5. Qantas Domestic Economy Return Flight: A choice of one Domestic Economy class return flight is available for Card Members, or an individual nominated by the Card Member to redeem, on the Terms and Conditions set out below, and in accordance with Qantas’ Conditions of Carriage (which apply to all Qantas passengers). The benefit is available to choose each 12 month period that the Card Member maintains a Card relationship with American Express (each a “Membership Year”) and must be redeemed before the end of the relevant Membership Year. The flight must be booked and ticketed before the end of the Membership Year in which the Card Member became entitled to the domestic flight. Redemption of the domestic flight cannot be carried forward to any subsequent Membership Year and cannot be exchanged for cash. Reservations must be made through the American Express Platinum Travel Service by calling 1800 621 524 and selecting option 1. Qantas and American Express reserve the right to change the domestic flight offer Terms and Conditions or the offer of flights from time to time without notice, including but not limited to the right to charge fees or to stop offering flights. Route availability is subject to change without notice. Availability of these seats is limited and seats may not be available on all flights or at the times you may wish to fly. Seat availability may be limited to certain dates and/or flights and it may be more difficult to book seats around public holidays, school holidays or special events. Only specified routes are included within the offer. All travel is subject to the Domestic Flight Offer Conditions, Qantas Fare Conditions and Qantas Conditions of Carriage. Booking changes and cancellations:
a. Changes and cancellations are permitted prior to each flight departure, The Card Member is to pay any extra fare difference and any extra taxes by calling 1800 621 524 and selecting option 1
b. Name changes are permitted
c. The new booking must be for travel within 12 months of the date that the original ticket was issued;
d. Changes must be made through the American Express Platinum Travel Service by calling 1800 621 524 and selecting option 1
e. At the time of making the change, the Card Member must pay: applicable change fees as per the Qantas Fare Conditions; any fare difference between the fare for the new booking and the original fare; and any other applicable surcharges, fees and taxes plus applicable GST as charged by American Express.
f. Validity: Minimum stay is not applicable. Maximum stay is up to one year;
g. Children/Infants: flights may not be redeemed for unaccompanied minors. Infants (under 2 years) without a seat may travel free of charge when travelling with an eligible Card Member.
h. The Domestic Flight is only available on Qantas marketed and operated services. For the avoidance of doubt, flights on Jetstar Airways Pty Limited and codeshare services are not included.
6. You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn Qantas Points. A joining fee may apply. Membership and Qantas Points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions. Qantas Points and Status Credits (where applicable) are earned on eligible flights with a Qantas or applicable oneworld® Alliance Airline or Airline Partner flight number on your ticket. 7. Accor Plus Membership: Enrolment is required to receive a complimentary Accor Plus membership. An Accor Plus membership is available only to the Corporate Platinum Card Member. Membership privileges will only be granted on presentation of a valid membership card and a member must identify themselves as an Accor Plus member at time of booking. Accommodation bookings must be made through all.accor.com or accorplus.com. American Express reserves the right to instruct Accor Plus to cancel your membership if you cease to be a Corporate Platinum Card Member or your account is not in good standing. Complimentary membership is a continuing benefit of your American Express Corporate Platinum Card, however American Express reserves the right to discontinue the benefit, upon providing you with reasonable notice. Once enrolled, enrolment continues for at least 12 months. If you become ineligible for this benefit or if this benefit ends, the Accor Plus membership standard eligibility criteria will apply to you. Special amenity and / or Experience Credit and Platinum benefits vary by property; call Platinum Travel for details. Experience credit[s] will be applied to eligible charges up to the amount of the Experience Credit. Advance reservations are recommended for certain Experience Credits. Valid only for new Fine Hotels + Resorts bookings made through Platinum Travel Service, Business Platinum Travel Service, Centurion Travel Service, or American Express Travel Online. Available for Australian Platinum Charge Card Members and Centurion® Members only, and excludes Platinum Credit Card Members who are not also Australian Platinum Charge Card Members or Centurion Members. Payment must be made in full with an American Express Card in the Australian Platinum Card Member's or Centurion® Member's name. - Complimentary In-Room Wi-Fi is provided. In the case where a Property includes cost of Wi-Fi in a mandatory resort fee, the Card Member will receive a daily credit from the Property in the standard amount that the Property charges for Wi-Fi. The credit will be issued on the Card Member's final statement upon check-out.

Children under 2 years of age can access the lounge free of charge, provided an accompanying parent or guardian is able to produce a “lap infant” boarding pass or proof of age. Guest access policies may vary internationally by location and are subject to change. To access The Centurion Lounge, the Card Member must present The Centurion Lounge agent with the following upon each visit: their valid Card, a boarding pass showing a confirmed reservation for same-day travel on any carrier and a government-issued I.D. Failure to present this documentation may result in access being denied. The Centurion Lounge is a day of departure lounge. Platinum Card Members who have landed will not be able to access the lounge. Card Members with layovers or connecting flights who produce proof can access the lounge. 1. Triple Qantas Points on flights for your business: A business must be a Qantas Business Rewards Member to earn triple Qantas Points for business. The triple Qantas Points for business are only available for American Express Qantas Card Members when the Card is used to make an eligible Qantas flight booking. Qantas will allocate to the business an amount equal to the Qantas Points earned by the traveller when travelling for business against a rate of either: 20% (Level 1); or 30% (Level 2); or 40% (Level 3) multiplied by three. An eligible flight means a domestic or international flight which has a Qantas 'QF' flight number on the ticket that is purchased in Australia; is operated by Qantas, Emirates or American Airlines; has a ticket number commencing with '081'; and is booked and travelled for business on or after the date the business registers for Qantas Business Rewards. Exclusions apply. Triple Qantas Points for Business is not available in conjunction with any other rebate, Corporate Fares Agreement or discount arrangement with Qantas. A Member's ABN and traveller's Qantas Frequent Flyer number must be quoted at the time of booking to earn Qantas Points for both the business and the traveller. The maximum number of Qantas Points that can be earned from flying by a business with the American Express Qantas Corporate Card is 4,000,000 per membership year as per the Triple Qantas Points for business benefit terms.

Platinum Qantas Privileges: Qantas Domestic Economy Return Flight: A choice of one Domestic Economy class return flight is available for Card Members, or an individual nominated by the Card Member to redeem, on the Terms and Conditions set out below, and in accordance with Qantas’ Conditions of Carriage (which apply to all Qantas passengers). The benefit is available to be chosen each 12-month period that the Card Member maintains a card relationship with American Express (each a “Membership Year”) and must be redeemed before the end of the relevant Membership Year. The flight must be booked and ticketed before the end of the Membership Year in which the Card Member became entitled to the domestic flight. Redemption of the domestic flight cannot be carried forward to any subsequent Membership Year and cannot be exchanged for cash. Reservations must be made through the American Express Platinum Travel Service by calling 1800 621 524 and selecting option 1. Qantas and American Express reserve the right to change the domestic flight offer Terms and Conditions or the offer of flights from time to time without notice, including but not limited to, the right to charge fees or to stop offering flights. Route availability is subject to change without notice. Availability of these seats is limited and seats may not be available on all flights or at the times you may wish to fly. Seat availability may be limited to certain dates and/or flights and it may be more difficult to book seats around public holidays, school holidays or special events. Only specified routes are included within the offer. All travel is subject to the Domestic Flight Offer Conditions, Qantas Fare Conditions and Qantas Conditions of Carriage. Booking Changes and Cancellations:
a. Changes and cancellations are permitted prior to each flight departure, The Card Member is to pay any extra fare difference and any extra taxes by calling 1800 621 524 and selecting option 1
b. Name changes are permitted
c. The new booking must be for travel within 12 months of the date that the original ticket was issued
d. Changes must be made through the American Express Platinum Travel Service by calling 1800 621 524 and selecting option 1
e. At the time of making the change, the Card Member must pay: Applicable change fees as per the Qantas Fare Conditions; any fare difference between the fare for the new booking and the original fare; and any other applicable surcharges, fees and taxes plus applicable GST as charged by American Express
f. Validity: Minimum stay is not applicable. Maximum stay is up to one year
g. Children/Infants: Flights may not be redeemed for unaccompanied minors. Infants (under 2 years) without a seat may travel free of charge when travelling with an eligible Card Member
h. The Domestic Flight is only available on Qantas marketed and operated services. For the avoidance of doubt, flights on Jetstar Airways Pty Limited and codeshare services are not included.
6. As long as your Account remains current and in good standing.
7. Membership Rewards Spirit program: Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program. Your Company must allow participation in Membership Rewards. An annual fee applies but is waived for American Express Qantas Corporate Platinum Card Members. You will earn 2 points for every $1 spent on all spend except government where you will earn 1 point for every $1 spent. Merchants classified as "government" include the Australian Taxation Office, the Australian Postal Corporation, Federal/State and Local government bodies. Industry specific earn rate may apply when you use a payment account, payment aggregator, services of a third party or online retailers that sell goods for another merchant. For example, a payment made to Local Government bodies processed through a payment aggregator may earn rates at the government earn rate. You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn and redeem Qantas Points. The redemption of Qantas Points is subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions available at qantas.com/terms. A joining fee may apply. There may be tax implications associated with participation in the Membership Rewards program. You are advised to check with your accountant or tax adviser for further information.

10. Points for Credit. Points may be redeemed by the Card Member for a credit on the Card Account. American Express may decline a Points for Credit request where the Card Account or Card Member’s other Accounts with American Express are not in good standing. The redemption of Points for Credit will be administered solely by American Express within three business days and cannot be reversed. Redeeming Points for Credit is not redeemable for cash via Credit balance refund. If redeeming with Points + Pay, the ‘pay’ component of your purchase will be automatically billed to your American Express Card Account and will appear on the first billing statement following redemption. You’ll earn Membership Rewards points on the ‘pay’ component of your purchase only. Minimum redemption amounts apply.
11. Membership Rewards points can be transferred to the company’s Qantas Business Rewards Account. A business must be a Qantas Business Rewards Member to earn Qantas Points. In order to transfer Qantas Points from a Qantas Business Rewards Account to an individual’s Qantas Frequent Flyer Account, the business Account must have a balance of at least 3,000 Qantas Points. You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn and redeem Qantas Points. A joining fee may apply. Membership and Qantas Points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions. We recommend you consult your accountant or tax adviser to ensure you understand possible tax implications, for example fringe benefits tax (if applicable).

1. Triple Qantas Points on flights for your business: A business must be a Qantas Business Rewards Member to earn triple Qantas Points for business. The triple Qantas Points for business are only available for American Express Qantas Card Members when the Card is used to make an eligible Qantas flight booking. Qantas will allocate to the business an amount equal to the Qantas Points earned by the traveller when travelling for business against a rate of either: 20% (Level 1); or 30% (Level 2); or 40% (Level 3) multiplied by three. An eligible flight means a domestic or international flight which has a Qantas 'QF' flight number on the ticket that is purchased in Australia; is operated by Qantas, Emirates or American Airlines; has a ticket number commencing with '081'; and is booked and travelled for business on or after the date the business registers for Qantas Business Rewards. Booking Changes and Cancellations: a. Changes and cancellations are permitted prior to each flight departure, The Card Member is to pay any extra fare difference and any extra taxes by calling 1800 621 524 and selecting option 1 b. Name changes are permitted c. The new booking must be for travel within 12 months of the date that the original ticket was issued d. Changes must be made through the American Express Platinum Travel Service by calling 1800 621 524 and selecting option 1 e. At the time of making the change, the Card Member must pay: Applicable change fees as per the Qantas Fare Conditions; any fare difference between the fare for the new booking and the original fare; and any other applicable surcharges, fees and taxes plus applicable GST as charged by American Express f. Validity: Minimum stay is not applicable. Maximum stay is up to one year g. Children/Infants: Flights may not be redeemed for unaccompanied minors. You must use your American Express Qantas Corporate Platinum Card to pay for your trip in order to be covered under the travel insurance and pay for eligible items for those items to be covered under the retail insurance benefits. It is important you read the American Express Qantas Corporate Platinum Card Insurance Terms and Conditions and consider whether the insurance is right for you. We do not provide advice about the insurance or whether it is appropriate for your objectives, financial situation or needs.
This insurance is underwritten by Chubb Insurance Australia Limited (ABN 23 001 642 020, AFSL No. 239687) under a group policy of insurance held by American Express Australia Limited (ABN 92 108 952 085, AFSL No. 291313). 8. Company Business Rewards Benefits: A business must be a Qantas Business Rewards Program member to be eligible for the Member Savings. Savings are available exclusively to Qantas Business Rewards members off the base fare of selected fares only and do not apply to taxes, fees and carrier charges. Availability is limited. Member Deals are subject to the Qantas Business Rewards Terms and Conditions. A one-off joining fee of $89.50 usually applies, however this will be waived for any business that has an existing American Express Qantas Corporate Card. A Member's ABN and traveller's Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number must be quoted at the time of booking to be eligible for Member Savings.
9. American Express Lounge Access: Entry into The American Express Lounge is governed by the full Terms and Conditions available at amex.com.au/airportlounge. All entrants must adhere to the General Conditions of Entry. American Express Corporate Platinum Card Members are entitled to a total of two (2) entries into the American Express Lounges in Australia per calendar year (1 January to 31 December). Complimentary access is available for the Card Member's children between the ages of 2-17. Card Members wishing to bring additional guests may be subject to a charge that is to be processed on the Card Member's American Express Card. Guest access policies vary by location and are subject to change. To access American Express Lounges, the Qantas Corporate Platinum Card Member must present the agent with the following upon each visit: his or her valid Card and upon request, same-day airline ticket on any carrier and a government-issued I.D. Failure to present this documentation may result in access being denied. Qantas Corporate Platinum Card Members will not be compensated for changes in locations, rates or policies. American Express reserves the right to remove any person from a lounge for inappropriate behaviour or failure to adhere to lounge rules, including, but not limited to, conduct that is disruptive, abusive or violent. Booking Changes and Cancellations: a. 8. Same Day Fine Dining Reservations: Conditions apply. Restaurant Partners are subject to change without notice. All bookings must be made through Platinum Concierge. Table size is based on settings of between 2-4 persons. Account must be settled with an American Express Corporate Platinum Card, American Express Qantas Corporate Platinum Card or American Express Platinum Business Card. Reservations are based on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event of a reservation cancellation, the Card Member will be subject to the restaurant’s cancellation policy, which will be communicated to the Card Member by Concierge at the time of booking.
9. Emergency Card Replacement: If your Card is lost or stolen, you must report it immediately. You can call American Express 24 hours a day. If you are overseas, report your lost or stolen Card to the nearest American Express Travel Service or Representative Office. Once you have notified us, you are not liable for any unauthorised charges.
10. Fraud Protection Guarantee: Provided that you notify us immediately upon discovery of any fraudulent transactions and you have complied with your Card Member Agreement, you will not be held liable for any unauthorised charges.
11. Online Account Access: Corporate Card Accounts are eligible to enrol for online services. Centrally Billed Accounts, where charges on all Card Accounts are billed to the Company instead of the individual Card Members, may be excluded. Use of online payments and electronic expense report services are subject to your Company practices and policies. Card Members must enrol at americanexpress.com.au/register
12. Online Statements: By agreeing to receive statements online, you must register for online services and you understand you will not receive paper statements by mail. You must check your nominated email address regularly as you will be notified at your nominated email address when your online statement is available to view. You can elect to change this nomination or your email address at anytime by changing your preferences in your Online Services Account or by notifying us on 1300 366 220.

14. The Australian Premium Subscription benefit offer (‘Benefit’) is available to eligible American Express Australia Card Members (‘Card Members’).
Once you have requested to enrol in The Australian Premium Subscription, American Express Australia Limited (‘American Express’) will determine your eligibility to enrol in the Benefit via the enrolment process. If eligible then American Express will share your enrolment information with Nationwide News Pty Ltd (‘News Corp’). News Corp may use this enrolment information in accordance with its privacy policy available here.

1. Triple Qantas Points on flights for your business: A business must be a Qantas Business Rewards Member to earn triple Qantas Points for business. The triple Qantas Points for business are only available for American Express Qantas Card Members when the Card is used to make an eligible Qantas flight booking. Qantas will allocate to the business an amount equal to the Qantas Points earned by the traveller when travelling for business against a rate of either: 20% (Level 1); or 30% (Level 2); or 40% (Level 3) multiplied by three. An eligible flight means a domestic or international flight which has a Qantas 'QF' flight number on the ticket that is purchased in Australia; is operated by Qantas, Emirates or American Airlines; has a ticket number commencing with '081'; and is booked and travelled for business on or after the date the business registers for Qantas Business Rewards. Exclusions apply. Triple Qantas Points for Business is not available in conjunction with any other rebate, Corporate Fares Agreement or discount arrangement with Qantas. A Member's ABN and traveller's Qantas Frequent Flyer number must be quoted at the time of booking to earn Qantas Points for both the business and the traveller. The maximum number of Qantas Points that can be earned from flying by a business with the American Express Qantas Corporate Card is 4,000,000 per membership year as per the Triple Qantas Points for business benefit terms.
