The Membership Rewards® program
As an American Express Corporate Card Member, if your company has chosen to participate in the
Membership Rewards Ascent or Choices program then you also have the option to enrol and earn points
on all spend.2 A Membership Rewards fee of $89 applies if you choose to join. For more details please
speak to your Program Administrator.
Up to 1.5 Points
Earn 1.5 points for every $1 spent, except spend on government where you will earn 1 point for every $1 spent.2

Membership Rewards points don’t expire1, so you can use them when you’re ready – whether that’s next week or next year.

Transfer points to 11 world-class airline partners.³ Simply transfer your points to your preferred Airline Partner and book your flights from there. Remember, you need to be a member of a Frequent Flyer program to be able to transfer points to your chosen airline.³

How else can we help?
1. There is no expiry date for points earned while in the program so long as you are an American Express Card Member, enrolled in the program and your Account is kept in good standing and is not overdue.
2. Membership Rewards: Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program. Your Company must allow participation in Membership Rewards. Fees apply. You will earn 1.5 points for every $1 spent on all spend except government where you will earn 1 point for every $1 spent. Merchants classified as “government” include the Australian Taxation Office, the Australian Postal Corporation, Federal/State and Local government bodies. Industry-specific earn rate may apply when you use a payment account, payment aggregator, services of a third party or online retailers that sell goods for another merchant. For example, a payment made to Local Government bodies processed through a payment aggregator may earn points at the government earn rate. There may be tax implications associated with participation in the Membership Rewards program. You are advised to check with your accountant or tax adviser for further information.
3. Points transfer. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program. To transfer Membership Rewards points into an Airline Rewards or Frequent Guest Partner Program you must be a member of the Partner Program. Membership of the Partner Program is the Card Member’s responsibility and is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the applicable Program. A joining fee may apply.
4. Membership Rewards Terms & Conditions: To earn or redeem Membership Rewards points, Cards must be enrolled to the American Express Membership Rewards program, and your Card Account must be in good standing.
To redeem Membership Rewards Points with American Express Travel Online, you need to have available limit on your Card for the full transaction amount of the booking. You will then receive a statement credit within 3 business days for your points redemption. If the credit isn’t on the same statement as the transaction, it should appear on your next statement. Please pay all amounts due each month. You will earn Membership Rewards points on the full dollar amount charged to your Card.

5. Travel Agency Partners: Minimum redemption amounts apply. You can redeem points for prepaid travel of a nominated value through Webjet.com.au and Helloworld with the point-of-purchase redemption capability. Travel bookings using points may be made for any person, provided all your Accounts are kept in good standing and are not overdue. Partner Terms and Conditions apply. Subject to the Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions and the Partners’ booking Terms and Conditions.
6. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program and the David Jones Partner Terms and Conditions available at DAVIDJONES.COM.AU. Only American Express Cards issued by American Express Australia Limited are eligible provided they are enrolled in the Membership Rewards program. Minimum redemption amounts apply. If redeeming with Points + Pay, the pay component of your purchase will be automatically billed to your American Express Card Account and will appear on the first billing statement following redemption. You’ll earn Membership Rewards points on the ‘pay’ component of your purchase only.
7. Gift Cards. Gift Card or voucher rewards are not redeemable or exchangeable for cash or credit and are valid for a period of minimum ¬ years from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. We are not responsible if any Gift Card is lost, stolen, or destroyed, or the Gift Card is used without your permission. Membership Reward terms and conditions apply. Normal retailer gift card or voucher conditions apply, refer to the gift card or retailer website for details.
8. Points for Credit. Points may be redeemed by the Basic Cardmember for a credit on the Primary Card Account (the Card which your Membership Rewards points balance appears online). American Express may decline a Points for Credit request where the Card Account or Cardmember’s other accounts with American Express are not in good standing. The redemption of Points for Credit will be administered solely by American Express within ¬ business days and cannot be reversed. Redeeming Points for Credit is not redeemable for cash via Credit balance refund.

Cash flow: Cash flow can be extended by up to 51 days for charge Card products depending on when you make a purchase, when your statement is issued and whether or not you are carrying forward a balance on your account from your previous statement period. If you pay by direct debit, your payment will be processed 10 days after your statement is issued.

Chubb Assistance will ensure you receive fast and effective treatment from a doctor who speaks your language. Your claim may be affected should you not contact us as soon as practicable.

If you have a legal or medical emergency while travelling, you can call our 24/7 Emergency Global Assist hotline and speak with an English-speaking lawyer, doctor or service provider (who can help with lost luggage and passports).

1. Insurance: The insurance on American Express Cards is subject to terms, conditions and exclusions (such as maximum age limits, pre-existing medical conditions and cover limits). You must use your American Express Corporate Gold Card to pay for your trip in order to be covered under the travel insurance and pay for eligible items for those items to be covered under the retail insurance benefits. It is important you read the American Express Corporate Gold Card Insurance Terms and Conditions and consider whether the insurance is right for you. 2. Emergency Global Assist: You must arrange all medical and visitor transportation. As the Global Assist Hotline is an assistance service, we cannot reimburse you for expenses you incur on your own. Please refer to the Global Assist Summary of Coverage for additional details and restrictions. Only available when you travel more than 200km from your home, for up to 90 consecutive days.
3. Push notifications must be enabled to receive alerts about flight delays.
4. Corporate Cash: Corporate Card Members are only eligible to enrol in Corporate Cash if the Company has agreed to participate and has pre-registered in the program. A fee applies. All Cash application forms must be signed by the Card Member and the Company's nominated Corporate Cash Verifying Officer. Please contact your Program Administrator for more information.

If you are overseas, report your lost or stolen Card to the nearest American Express Travel Service or Representative Office. Once you have notified us, you are not liable for any unauthorised charges.
