Shop Small Offer - Frequently Asked Questions
American Express® cares deeply about thriving communities and believes small businesses are at the core of every successful neighbourhood. That’s why we created Shop Small, to encourage people to show their support for small businesses by shopping small and locally.
As part of the Shop Small Offer, Cardmembers will get ₹500 cashback on spending ₹1,000 or more in one transaction in-person only, up to 5 times during the campaign period across participating stores.
Offer is valid from 3 August 2021 to 31 October 2021.
This offer is open to all American Express® Cardmembers whose Accounts are valid and in good standing. An American Express® Cardmember for this Offers means a person
holding a Card issued by American Express Banking Corp. in India. The offer is not valid for Corporate Cards. This Offer is also valid for Cards issued by ICICI Bank or IndusInd Bank bearing the name or trademark or service mark or logo of American Express® issued in India.
If your Card is eligible for the offer, you will be able to see the offer in Amex Offers section in your Online Card Account. You will have to save the offer to your Card. Only Cards on which Offer has been saved will be eligible for the offer benefit. You can also save the offer to your Card by filling up the enrollment form. Click here to fill the enrollment form.
Cashback should appear on your billing statement within 5 business days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from the offer end date i.e. 31st October 2021. You can get cashback up to 5 times during the offer period.
You can get all 5 Cashbacks in a month given all the 5 transactions are made on different participating stores. Maximum cashback that a Cardmember can get during the offer period is ₹2500, cashback of ₹500 is capped per participating store.
Yes, all purchases made on the saved Card at participating stores will be eligible for Cashback of ₹500, up to 5 times, on a minimum transaction size of ₹1,000.
If the cashback has not appeared even after 5 working days of taking the eligible transaction, please call on the helpline number mentioned at the back of your American Express® Card or chat with us via mobile app.
Transactions made at any store which is not a part of the participating store list would not be eligible for the Cashback. Click here to view the list of participating stores.
You will be able to view the Shop Small Offer in Amex Offers section in Online Account of your eligible American Express® Cards. Yes, you will be able to avail the Offer on your replaced Card as well. However, you will have to save the Offer to your replaced Card. You can do so by filling up the enrollment form. Click here to complete the enrollment form.
If your Primary Card is eligible for the Offer, your Supplementary Cards will also be eligible. However, Supplementary Cards will be treated as separate Cards in the Offer and the Offer will have to be saved to Supplementary Cards separately through the Online Card Account of Supplementary Cards. EMI transactions taken at any of the participating stores during the Offer period will be eligible for Offer benefit.
In case you face such issue where the merchant is not accepting you Card or the machine that they have is not working, you can make the transaction with any other card or payment option which merchant partner is accepting and ensure you have a proof of transaction with you, such as charge Slip, Invoice or transaction SMS.
You can contact us afterwards on the helpline number mentioned at the back of your Card or contact us via Chat through mobile app and share the evidence of transaction. We will review the evidence and ensure that offer benefits are provided to you for taking effort and time to take a transaction with your American Express Card, however couldn’t do so due to these issues.
