Replacing Cheques
If your Travelers Cheques are lost or stolen, they usually can be replaced virtually anywhere in the world. American Express Travelers Cheque Customer Service Centers handle reports and claims for lost or stolen Cheques 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If your Travelers Cheques are lost or stolen, phone a Service Center immediately.
Replacements must first be pre-authorized by an American Express Travelers Cheque Service Center. Service Center personnel will assist customers in determining the best way to obtain a replacement.
Cheques replacement can be made available at all locations, and are subject to local laws and cash availability.

Cheque Serial Numbers
When you purchase Travelers Cheques, the serial numbers of each Cheque will be recorded on the purchase record. If you need to report lost or stolen Cheques, you will be asked to provide the serial number of the Cheque in question. Keep your purchase record in a safe place, separate from your Cheques.
